    1. Darrell, Very nice collection !! Do you also have a 1870 cross ? Cheers. Ch.
    2. Pete, I don't think... The Greek Order of the Redeemer should have a very thin light blue strip on each edge / border of the ribbon. This is not the case here. About the Russian medals inspired by St Anne ribbon, the yellow strip should be narrower than the one of the lapel bow... Just my 2 cents. Cheers. Ch.
    3. Laurence, This one is in very good condition. I think it is not so easy to find... Ch.
    4. Here you can find the Trafalgar Roll : http://www.genuki.org.uk:8080/big/eng/Trafalgar/ Hope this helps. Ch.
    5. Here you can find the Trafalgar Roll : http://www.genuki.org.uk:8080/big/eng/Trafalgar/ Ch.
    6. Tony, You're correct. The Royal Navy fleet of 27 ships fighted an allied French and Spanish fleet of 33 ships. The allies lost 22 ships; the British none. Ch.
    7. I agree !! We are amongst Gentlemen... and Trafalgar celebrations just follow the Entente Cordiale's one !!! Cheers. Ch. ... from France.
    8. Correct . In France, we have both options... for the mint ones. Ch.
    9. Darrell, Please don't see anything wrong or bad in my remark . I just mentioned this because here, in France, it is possible to buy orders and medals from the mint, even without having been awarded them... Cheers. Ch.
    10. Jens, In all cases, the Jubilee medals (whatever they are), should be worn before the Kiev Jubilee one. Cheers. Ch.
    11. Thanks Darrell. Did you buy them to a dealer or a collector ? Or are they for sale at the "official" US mint ? Ch.
    12. Gordon's one is really interesting in the sense it has a specific suspension and a blackened swastika. Interesting to know more about it... Ch.
    13. Gordon, Very interesting thread and pic. Could this RK of the KVK been "locally" made (on the field)... ? Ch.
    14. What is curious is why the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (345890) is mounted before the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (151142). It should make more sense to mount the lower numbered one first, especially for a later mounted bar. Just my two cents. Ch.
    15. I remember we have already discussed this bar on another forum. What was surprising was the order in which the Orders of the Red Banner of Labour are displayed. More important there are folds on the ribbons, indicating that they were removed from original five-sided suspensions. They don't have the same degee of wear. It's possible that somebody had used old ribbons to mount the awards on the bar, but quite unusual and surprising. Cheers. Ch.
    16. Hi Darrell, That's for sure a very nice medal, the one you posted in post #1 !! Congratulations!! ... and BTW, I also understand now the reason of your avatar . As you know: this medal, in its design, has been influenced by the french L?gion d'Honneur. I know you also like them... Just a quick question : Is your Chief Commander Legion of Merit a new one (mint), or has it been awared ? Again, congrats!! Cheers. Ch.
    17. Just to precise : read from post #16, to the end. Cheers. Ch.
    18. Hi Ed and Chris, Without pretendig re-opning the debate, just have a look at this thead : http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=1649&st=0 Kim and I don't pretend to hold the truth, but... I'm sure you will find it interesting . Cheers. Ch.
    19. Sure, I understood the "ne"... but... Thanks Bob!! Cheers. Ch.
    20. Gamsa hamnida !! I agree with you. When this is possible, this is always better!! Just have now to improve my Korean . Annyeonghi gyeseyo !! Cheers. Ch.
    21. Thanks Bob! I'll try... even if I'm not sure of the result (just look at how I speak English ). Cheers. Ch.
    22. Hi Bob, Many thanks for the tips. I have already been in Korea, and had time to visit Seoul and some other place in the countryside, but did not have the opportunity to go to the DMZ. I hope I will do it this time. Learn Korean ? Why not ? But, for a future trip... I'll leave for Seoul in 2 weeks time!! Thanks again. Cheers. Ch. PS : To Others, Ideas, suggestions ? Many thanks in advance.
    23. Thanks Chris. Too late on this one... I'm afraid!! Cheers. Ch.
