    1. I think Ahmet Ali was the first African Ottoman naval pilot in the world in 1916. His grandmother was from Borno,Nigeria. He has another photo above.
    2. I don't think it is Turkish. As far as I know Turkish troops only had Turkish Flag, North Star badges and Tropic Lightning. ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/koremadalyasi/ ) As you know the figures on the badges may look like anything. In order to find this you have to check badges of other countries except the USA 8th Army. I posted the badges of all 8th Army : 1. 8 ARMY: Pacific Victors , 1 Corps "Eye Corps" , 9 Corps: Pride of the Pacific , 10 Corps: X Corps,1 Cavalry Division: "First Team" 2. 25 Infantry Division "Tropic Lightning" , 24 Division "Victory Division", 7 Division: '"Hourglass Division", "Bayonet Division", "California Division, 3 Division: "Rock of the Marne, 2 Division: "Indianhead" Regards Demir
    3. Hi, I posted the Osmani Order photos to show the difference on both sides; writing and design. If you compare the original post with Mr. Avşar's Osmani Order with brilliants you can see the difference in the workmanship, finishing, the design on the drum, flags etc. I still insist that it is a recently made one. For the one with the swords the Order was genuine but the sabers have been added in a later date this can be understood from the entry point of the saber pieces. The holes have been cut larger in order to attach the saber pieces, in the original ones the holes are not this large. I think Mr. Avşar has also indicated this in one of his previous threads in this forum also. Regards Demir
    4. Nice photo. I have a question: The photo has to be taken after the Palestine tour in order to be awarded with the TWM, but you say it was taken in the training camp. Can you open this abb. :Res.Jg.Btl.11 Thanks
    5. Col. Franz von Papen - Chief of Staff of the Yıldırım Group of Armies in Palestine. He also has 3rd degree Mecidi Order with Crossed Sabers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz_von_Papen
    6. Here are 2 pictures of Osmani Order. You can easily see the difference. Obverse: writing Reverse: The drums and flags The one with sabers is also a fake. But to be sure check the above differences. Please also see the threads about fake Osmani and Mecidi Orders in this forum. Best wishes Demir
