    1. 2 so-called "straight 9" schinkels Very hard to find.
    2. 2 nice marked Souval pinbacks. These are pretty rare with a mm. Cores are different.
    3. I have one here as well, also on a Godet button Crappy pic, sorry... and this Prinzen
    4. All known Prinzen clasps Top left: Schickle Bottom left: unknown maker Center: Deumer 2-prong (most common) on a non-magnetic Deumer Prinzne ek Top right: 4-prong Deumer ( very rare) Right center: S&L Bottom right: 4- prong Schickle. Very nice these little buggers Comapring the size to a normal clasp Upgrade, the one on the left is now in the collection Near mint 1870 Prinzen
    5. Combo's are rare. The factory made pieces that I know of were made by Juncker and Mayer, and marked l/12 and L/18. IF a SB cross is marked, it is always with an L/... mark, since these were not awarded but intended for private purchase. And yes, we all get stung, that's part of the hobby.
    6. First one is ok, second one is a fake....
    7. I agree. On the other hand: how many of these have survived?? Wouldn't have bought it 10 years ago, but this was really to good to let go.
    8. I recently got a mint Mayer ind the square push-button case. The cased examples I have seen so far were in the ek box with the thin ek on the lid. Here's an unworn Deumer I recently bought, mint, but a but rust developing under the paint.
    9. I got tipped off by a collecting-buddy . It sat on a german forum for a few weeks already, then I decidedt to go for it. Couldn't believe it wasn't already gone. Bought a nice multipart-frame ek2 so I can have it framed like the 1870's This one:
    10. Here's a nice , came as a set as a set And another Godet with big citation, also bought this as a set. And a VERY rare one.... May 31st 1814 is the award date. Pics keep turning sideward, sorry for that....
    11. Not a 1914, but a non-combattant 1870 bar with a so-called "Spangenstück"
    12. Here's one I recently bought, repaired as well, but with the crest
    13. I thought private-purchase pieces were LdO marked, but I had one of these marked ones as well a while ago.
    14. It's a piece from later production, no award piece Nice one though !
    15. And also 16 mm (cross)1870 with anniversary oakleves, cross is a 3-piece
    16. Here's a nice and rare 1939 ek1 mini, cased About 16mm.
    17. I would leave the ek1 "as is". It's a shame the hardware is missing, but to have it properly restored you need original part (next to impossible) Apart from that it will cost a serious amount of manoey.
    18. Since Marco's father died in early 1940, an early unmarked ek would be the best choice IMO....
    19. If he had known the current value, he would have been more then one :-)
    20. Hi Graf, no problem, I completely understand that. Well, that would have been cheap for an authentic round 3, they usually sell at about $1100 and up, that wasn't really less a few years ago. But $ 500 is still a lot of money for something that isn't authentic. Round 3 crosses are usually unmarked, the only marked example I have seen so far was shown on this forum by Chris Boonzaier. A very credible one, given the source, but that is really the only marked round 3 so far. Good luck!! Ben
    21. Hi Garf, well, I presume there is a serious amount involved, so ask the dealer which expert he recommends for authentication. Then it is his turn. Send it to the recommended expert and see what the outcome is. Good luck!! Best regards, Ben
