2 nice marked Souval pinbacks. These are pretty rare with a mm. Cores are different.

Combo's are rare. The factory made pieces that I know of were made by Juncker and Mayer, and marked l/12 and L/18. IF a SB cross is marked, it is always with an L/... mark, since these were not awarded but intended for private purchase. And yes, we all get stung, that's part of the hobby.

I agree. On the other hand: how many of these have survived?? Wouldn't have bought it 10 years ago, but this was really to good to let go.

I recently got a mint Mayer ind the square push-button case. The cased examples I have seen so far were in the ek box with the thin ek on the lid. Here's an unworn Deumer I recently bought, mint, but a but rust developing under the paint.

Here's a nice and rare 1939 ek1 mini, cased About 16mm.

I would leave the ek1 "as is". It's a shame the hardware is missing, but to have it properly restored you need original part (next to impossible) Apart from that it will cost a serious amount of manoey.

Since Marco's father died in early 1940, an early unmarked ek would be the best choice IMO....

If he had known the current value, he would have been more then one :-)

Hi Graf, no problem, I completely understand that. Well, that would have been cheap for an authentic round 3, they usually sell at about $1100 and up, that wasn't really less a few years ago. But $ 500 is still a lot of money for something that isn't authentic. Round 3 crosses are usually unmarked, the only marked example I have seen so far was shown on this forum by Chris Boonzaier. A very credible one, given the source, but that is really the only marked round 3 so far. Good luck!! Ben
