    1. Will ignore -- I surrender! -- the clumsy terminological problems with Gulf War I, II, and III. I give up!!!!!!!!!! Ormuz = Hormuz. As in "the Strait of . . . ". For Gulf War I (oh, I was not going to re-open THAT . . .).
    2. No, Gerd, not close, right! Clementine Ogilvy Spencer-Churchill, Baroness Spencer-Churchill, GBE, CStJ (n?e Clementine Ogilvy Hozier; 1 April 1885 ? 12 December 1977). Her father (at least he might have been her father) was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class 1870 with oak leaves and her husband (who was her husband) was awarded the Spanish Order of Military Merit. Both awards later became, of course, identified with "the Narzi enemy", directly or indirectly. I want to see HER gongs! (Oops, can I say that? ) Your turn, Gerd!
    3. The Outstanding Worker of the Mongolia Revolutionary Youth League B # V 05. One of the first Mongolian medals I even saw, decades ago, in the auction catalogue of a famous (?) West German auction house (infamous for his -- well -- "inventive" Suvorov Orders). Glad to have one now. Interestingly, numbered: 260.
    4. Yes, it is very quiet . . . ???? Do you (other than Chiistophe) need more hints . . . ???? Or do you care????
    5. Outstanding Worker of People's education (could be B # R 04?).
    6. The union membership book (and the problem?). First page seems OK enough (cf. http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6043&st=34 and following posts). Photo removed, which is sad. The "dues" pages are all black, which makes me wonder.
    7. The MYRL booklet interior. Photo removed. Paid-up from June 1983 through December 1986.
    8. A possible group (see below): 1- Badge of the Mongolian Revolutionary Youth League (B # V 02) 2- Trade Union of the Workers Membership Badghe (NIB - #17599)
    9. Not much of a "group" but -- unusually -- one where the 25 Years of MPR Medal actually matches the document! (But what has been done to the enameled "ribbon"?!)
    10. And did I (further) neglect to mention . . . cased:
    11. Closeup of the worthy - obviously a "foreign aid" haircut.
    12. Thanks to Andrew, Kravchenko's photo has now been reunited with his medals. It is the usual soft-focus, pebbled finish photo that we normally see. Silly Soviets, they seem to have been more concerned with the person's visage than with his awards! To make matters worse, the mystery academy badge is hidden away over at the side. The best I can scan is below. Not sure it helps.
    13. I'd look on the DNW website to see recent sales http://www.dnw.co.uk/dnw/medals/medalshome.htm and ignore (TOTALLY) published price guides or what often-dubious things sell for on eBay. If your guy checks out on the rolls, this would, I think, be a very desirable medal with nice regiment and good clasps (and the after-market suspension brooch is a plus too). Clearly a broken group, but still nice.
    14. Let me see if I can find an image - both Gordon and the MYB have the images. I do not have the gora version, so . . . . The UK version has silly little curly-queue ears on either side of the suspension. How cute, how unnecessary.
    15. Agreed, this remains one of the real bargains out there. Still to be had by the kilo (literally) in The Old Country. Grand Commander of The Most Eminent Order of the Indian Empire - G.C.I.E. - changed to the Garter (silly irrelevanct thing) on the new second image. Kaisar-i-Hind = Emperor of India (more or less). Interesting that it seems to be a Calcutta strike, not an exotic native manufactured piece from the UK.
