    1. Hi, Chuck! Do you have after-war photos of Bibiluidze with 4 stars? It would be nice to see! Dima
    2. 1. Velichko Pavel Philonovich 2. Arapov Kuchkenbay 3. Weather discription (poor Russian with gramma mistakes!!!) - really strange: "9 February 1955, 1 am - it is thundering..." Dima
    3. Hi, Danny! This is a very goos question!!! I used to be a member of the following organizations: Communist Party, Comsomol, Trade Union,..., Protection of Monuments Society ... And what I remeber they all collected money first of all!!! It was a well organized cash flow! It was used as a political or social pressure on people... There 9.5M members from USSR among 14M totally - a lot of money!!! MOPR. It seems Alfred is an expert in MOPR, he says "liberate political prisoner" - the main idea. From the Charter we can red: to defend workers (revolutionaries) against white terror and help terror's victims; moral, juridical and money support for polotical prisoners, emigrants and their families, families of dead revolutionaris... something like this... During the war MOPR declared new goal: to support the Red Army, families of lost soldiers, anti-fashists propaganda. It stopped in 1947 Some regional organization were connected to prisons abroad (outside USSR) for sponsorship. There are still parts of "MOPR", Red Help, in France and South America... Dima
    4. Hi, Gentlemen! Alfred is right: MOPR was founded on 30 Nov 1922. But they celebrate on 18 Jul (Paris Communa Day). There were 70 national sections by 1932 gathered 14000000 persons !!! It lived till 1947... One badge more, the last version... [attachmentid=21591]
    5. Ed, could you pls place revers pictures for Soembo and Sukhabatar also? Thanks. Dima
    6. I cannot say it and maybe nobody is able to prove this today. I believe it is an awarded sample. If it were 140000 douts come. Dima
    7. Ха Ха Ха Молодцы!!! I thought I joined Military Interest Club but actually Transformational Linguistics!!! I share your problems: the same with me when I try to decode N.Korean hieroglyphs... If you have problems with Russian just contact me or other Russian guys in the club and you will save your time! Dima
    8. Privet, Some comments: - problem with photo, it was re-glued - page 9 is filled unprofessionally!!! - Military card was issued in 1968, that time the man was a roller worker assistant (?) - Awards in the Mil.Card are written with mistakes: "50 years of Soviet Army and..." instead of "50 years of Armed Forces" - Not all awards are in Mil.Card and Form-6 - With 2 serious wounds the man was accounted up to 60 (although it is marked "category 1") still open questions: - Red Star (a military order) in 1968? - forgotten case maybe - OOR in 1974 (???) if he was a roller worker assistant in 1968??? It seems to be a badge under GPW-1(85), victory jubilee or some "Kutuzov" or "Zhukov" un-official badges. There are so many badges that I cannot find it at once... In any case you got a few nice soviet orders, I personally like very much OOR. Unfortunately there 2 types of OOR only, so I keep 2 ORR in my collection but like to have 10-20!!! regards, Dima
    9. Hi guys, to page 5, it is valid for Crab-2 (how we call this order in Russia). the latest known Crab-3 has a number over 140000. But between 110000 and 140000, and also over 140000 there are many non-awarded (if it is correct word in English or non-presented) Crabs-3. Dima
    10. Hi guys, I am a newcomer here... I incline to think the orders are from different persons... Not only my feeling and experience say this. The person was awarded by Medal for heroic work during WWII (41-45), then some orders and suprisingly one of the latest OOR (end of 80th). But papers only could confirm or refute my words. If you do not have papers or a photo maybe you know a name? In this case I could investigate more... Generally the orders are nice and you have 2 types of RBL + 1 of the latest OOR (totally 111000 awarded)! regards, Dima
