    1. William, have you already posted a picture from your hero's order ??? If not, I would be very interested to see it if you accept to share it with us.
    2. Thanks for the information! It's great to know that this one is a copy!
    3. No Anatoly, there was nothing about this order written. Thanks for the link Christian!
    4. Ah ok, I've seen it in an other post. I didn't thought all IKOM II Class were on marked and unumbered. Thanks Waldemar!
    5. There is no way to know if this was made up, but the order is good. I've got a documented group that is mounted like this. Who know's if it's the dealer of the vet that mounted it on a multiple aluminium suspension?
    6. Tito had a lot of medals! Any idea where they are all today? Here is an exhaustiv list from his medals and orders. Tito's medals and orders Can you also tell me what is the last big order he is wearing? The picture is from the book Tito Partija.
    7. Waldemar your Partisan Star II Class looks perfect! By the way, I think I have never seen a Partisan Star II Class from IKOM. Is the enamel similar to the III Class IKOM? Here are two pieces that were once for sale. I've been told that these might not have been issued because of the high serial number, but Ostfront just said that these were not awarded sequential. Partisan #1
    8. Look at the high end copies for sale on eBay The RSFSR Red banner seems legit though. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Badges-Heritage
    9. And the document went for $39 !!! http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...A:IT&ih=020
    10. Congratulations for your Belgrad group!
    11. I just received this common piece yesterday from Ukraine.
    12. For those you collect ribbons, here is something interesting for sale on eBay. And here is again the drawings from the Yugoslavian ribbons. Yugoslavian Ribbons
    13. Eric I'm in the same boat. I collect this stuff, but I know next to nothing about them. I'm really eager to learn more and more. I think it is definitely a military award.
    14. Wow! Very nice Ostfront! Is your 2nd Class very low? If you guys find another cased IKOM, I would like to buy one like this.
    15. All I have is in the link I have posted. Unfortunately, I can't read it.
    16. His name is Vladimir, so I doubt he is Hungarian. I guess it will be impossible to research it, because your medal is unumbered. The only way to research it with is name, would be to know his birth date and birth place I guess. EDIT : By the way, it is funny to see that the 3 medals posted by Charles were given to guys named Jozsef.
    17. Interesting! The recapture of Sevastopol. Great story!
    18. Oh yeah !!! This is my field of collection. The battle for Berlin ! It seems he was in the first group to rush for Berlin! On his way to Berlin, he went through Stammlager Zossen, where the Oberkommandos des deutschen Heeres (OKH) was headquartered!!! The OKH exercised command of the Eastern Front and it was independent from the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (OKW) - Wehrmacht Supreme Command of the Armed Forces. So he might have seen the bunker or the barracks that was in Stammlager. Stammlager Bunker Stammlager Barracks Rushing his way south of Berlin he then arrived in Marienfelde and Lichterfelde to be sent to Prague with Marshall Koniev! Here is a map of Berlin where he has fought. These guys must have been very disappointed not to take part into the rush to the Reichstag. Receiving a research like that is encouraging me to research more and more from my awards! If you EVER wish to sell or exchange this medal, please keep me in mind! I like Soviet things related to the battle of Berlin.
    19. Nice find again! Is this medal on your research project or it is unumbered? I would like to live at the source of such medals!
    20. So in my opinion we can't compare the prices in regard of the rarity in this case. Anyway, I wonder how much a group like the one at 55 K sold during the economic crisis of Russia in 1998-1999. That was a steal at that time for foreign collectors. EDIT : BTW I just realised the VC was awarded during WWI. That's another thing I think we should't compare it with a HSU group from 1945.
    21. Just for comparison how many Victoria Cross have been awarded compared to HSU? I know next to nothing on British medals.
    22. Christian you are funny! Even with the increasing prices, you often find that everything is a bargain! It is indeed a nice group, but a bargain ... I don't think so. BTW, I wonder how many medals are missing in this group.
