    8. Juan or Jaques are the ones that will know. Both are very knowledgeable and they will most likely reply. I d to hearing the verdict. For me, It looks okay. But my knowledge of the SCW pales in comparison to their's. Doc
    9. Here's a link for more information. http://www.soviet-awards.com/forum/showthr...light=Umalatova Doc
    10. Nack, I'm not sure but, I have two pictures of Soviet flyboys wearing the Guard's Badge with this uniform. Best, Doc
    11. Hey Dan, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! First, it's Umalatova. Next I didn't realize that the Opposition Communist Party issued OPW's. That's the first I've seen or heard of. Is there a complete list of OCP medals? Doc
    12. Juan, Thanks for the picture of a most beautiful Order Doc
    13. Paul, I hope that your Researched ORB has as an interesting history in the records as mine did Doc
    14. Hello Ed!! Would this have anything to do with our conversation yesterday? Doc
    15. As this will be on a display mannequin here at home. I'll settle for the two Orders the wings and a Guards Badge and I've almost finished the medal bar for the uniform. Unless you have other ideas, Rick... Best, Doc
    16. Rick, Here are the holes in the tunic. I hope it helps. Doc
    17. Juan, Thanks!! I should have said "In general, the eagle with a crown indicates ties to a monarchy in European countries and an eeagle without a crown indicates a Republic." My Error. Doc
    18. Thanks Rick That's just what I needed to know. I notice that his medal bar goes from lowest to highest (left to right). Is this the way it should be? Doc
    19. Gerd, I haven't bought a better camera yet. Mine won't do close-ups. The two side-by-side holes have impressions inside the jacket. My guess is an ORS and an OPW,2nd Class. Above these is a hole centered over the two holes and there is a hole centered below the the two side-by-side hole. Are Pilot's wings worn above or below the Orders? Doc
    20. Here's the only picture of a Soviet wearing the rare Parade Uniform. Doc
    21. Gerd, They are on the right breast. Doc
    22. Hey All, I need your help!! I have a rare M1949 Air Force Transitional Parade uniform. On the right breast there are 4 holes. From a picture I know that two of the holes are for pilots wings and Guard's badge. My question is...Does the ORS and OPW 2nd class go above or below the pilot's wings. Thanks in advance, Doc
    23. Ed & Dave, This does raise some definate concerns. I can picture the "witch hunt" for Soviet/Russian ODMs and Militaria. How do we protect the items under our guardianship? Doc
    24. Gentlemen, Thank You!! I have spent a lot of time narrowing the possibilities down to the 1st-4th Bn/15th Punjab. I had hoped that I could find him in one of the battallions. I'm NOT giving up!!! I've come to close to give up. It must be the stubborn Irish in me Doc
