    7. Dolf, I apologize for revealing the name of the researcher. I didn't fully realize the consequences. Be assured that any mention of any individual researcher will be handled by PM or E-mail. Again, I am VERY, VERY SORRY!!!!! This apology applies to all members of this forum as well. Mike

    9. I am trying to help an individual ID his badge. Can someone confirm that I have a badge from the Russian (pre-WW1) 93rd Infantry Regiment pictured here. The Russian words on it say 93rd Infantry and Siberia. My meager research tells me it is the 93rd HIS IMPERIAL HIGHNESS GRAND DUKE MICHALE ALEKSNDROVICH'S IRKUTSK INFANTRY REGIMENT of the 24th Infantry Division, which at one point had its HQS in Pskov.
    10. Impressive!!! I've never seen this arena of badges. Doc

    20. I can HIGHLY recommend G.K. His e-mail address is (PM for details--please do not post his name or email for HIS sake at his end-- Rick R. edit) It usually takes 3-4 weeks to get the records and 1-2 weeks to translate. It cost me $229.00 USD for service records, citations, award card, etc. PLUS translation. The price included registered mail. Doc
    21. You're right! It's a beautiful conversion. The first time I've ever seen this. I hope your jeweler is very good. Serial numbers are not engraved very deep into the badge. I worry about some numbers being unretrivable. Doc
    22. I've yet to add a cased Soviet ODM to my collection. One day soooon I Hope!! Doc
    23. I have to agree with your observations. To obtain a Cavaliers set is one of my dreams. One day maybe. It would be the crown jewel of my collection. Doc
    24. That makes sense. One thing I did discover was that it was sold as a brother-sister group, but the service records show Zinaida as his wife not his sister. Thanks for all the input. Doc
    25. I,too, like the pilotka!! I need one of my own. Doc
