    1. ..still looking for this ribbon? I have boght a group of ribbons, there are also some Romanian and I think this one too...
    2. ...I have bought this case, but not sure for wich order its made... Measures - case: cca 110x62x17mm - cross: cca 54x38mm ..any idea? The case seems to be austro-hungarian made, maybe some german order (maltese cross, maybe crown over it)...
    3. ..the first one is Military Merit Cross with swords 2 times awarded, Nr.2 is Silver and Nr.3 Bronze Military Merit Medal (Signum Laudis) with swords... Wonderfull piece, congrats (if you ever think of selling it, write me please ) Bravery medals surely not - they had no "swords"... :)
    4. II.class cross miniature on bow ribbon, silver, maker-marked and hallmarked on the ring...
    5. ..it depends on the type of medal, mostly are those medals Austro-Hungarian made (for example Golden Bravery medals made instead of gold from bronze) or the post1918 hungarian made medals...
    6. Hi Enzo... I must say, I don´t have seen many cases for this medal... Maybe someone else has got one? Maybe "award" case with inscription on the lid (with name of the medal) or with A-H double headed eagle?
    7. ...just today arrived from USA (returned home to "Danube Monarchy" )...
    8. ..he was also not awarded the "Big Military Merit Medal" (Grosse Militärverdienstmedaille)... But the medal was awarded also to foreigners (and from Turkey was Enver Pasa awarded with this medal)
    9. Nr.3 coul be Military Merit Cross III.class (30mm). But never seen a photo where he is wearing this cross. There were 3 classes (from 1914) - I.class - pin back cross (wearing on the left side), II.class - on neck ribbon, III.class - on trifold ribbon on chest... (on photo cross III.class)
    10. I like the one from Bratislava too (I am from Slovakia) I think there was no "original" box for bravery medals in which the medal was awarded... it was awarded "in field", so the boxes that are occasionally to see are bought later or were given as a gift (with a dedication on the lid) - IMHO...
    11. ..this is some kind of "universal" box made from cardboard. In such boxes you can see Jubilee crosses 1908, but also Jubilee medals 1898, bravery medals, I have also seen Mobilisation cross in it... In some of the cases you can also find name of the firm (see photo from my collection), but in some cases from Maurerer there is also "Jubiläums Kreuz" (see photo - from internet)...
    12. ..here a Bronze military jubilee commemorative medal 1898 in original case....
    13. ..here 3 Bandspangen of MVK... On the top - 2 times awarded...
    14. ...as Viktor wrote, emperor Franz Joseph I. was awarded the St. George cross for the battle of Gyor in 1849, but as far as I know, he was wearing it because it was the only decoration he was awarded for his bravery (as an army-leader) and not as an emperor and king....
    15. Can someone erite me something more about this order? A friend is selling it, so if its possible also a fair price for it? thanks... Iver
    16. ..so I have found one MVK.2 without war decoration sold in auction in 2007 for cca €3.600 + 15% auction fees..
