As Gene has said - many have shown up on Ebay with the same defect but with clear lenses and in a cardbard box with a booklet. I have now found two pairs show up with the metal case and dark lenses. The problem is there are not enough pictures with clse details available to know all the types... I hope others will post pictures of theirs or periodphots to help with building information. I posted this at the WAF but want to share it here as well.... The folowing is the number and one of the images as found on EBay - from other posts it appears they are not correct - thoughts? Additionally these come with the metal can vs. the box with handbook. 6581008127 (item number)

Thanks for the warm welcome and very nice to see yet another super watch. I have only considered watches but has as yet to find one. Please post mre of your collection and any additional information you feel would be helpful to a novice collector wishing t build a collection arund both Luftwaffe and USAAF fighter pilots and USAAF bomber crews. I hope this topic continues - I am following it on both forums. If things go the way I plan I hope to post a picture of my own and provide another example. Additionally I troed to obtain some information and what seems to be considered a fake set but was unable to obain the pair or any additional pictures. Regards John
