First of all no leather cases in sight - only balsa ones (but then again I saw this badge only three times ) Second, where from this name "Army Service in the Navy" came from? I wonder... Since the reverse and the box lid are inscribed "Navy Short Service" and "War Service Completion Badge". Maybe Peterson have some additional info?! Any ideas chaps? If you have this badge in your collection, please don`t hesitate to post it here (or mail me the pictures for posting ). There should be some very interesting variations of enamel color.
