    1. Yep. Rich site is a great source of info. You may also find this source very useful Paul Murphy, Steven Ackley (2006) “In the name of Living God”, pp. 48-52. Cheers, Nick
    2. Hi Ricardo, Nope. This is Regular Member Badge of Imperial Seafarer Relief Society (established in 1881 to help seamen by money, housing, health care, etc) It may be, but it's hard to date these badges with certainty ... Regards, Nick
    3. Page 113, China "Silver Merit Medal" in April 19, 2012 catalogue? ;)
    4. You get that right! Hehehe...
    5. Good evening (even night ) Richard! Thank you for your comment! But I am a little mixed.. About what order (from what post) we are talking about? And I am sorry, but the Spink picture is not visible ... Regards, Nick
    6. "... anyone, other than me, know what the "PMR" is? ..." Pridnestrovskaya Moldavskaya Respublika? Република Молдовеняскэ Нистрянэ a.k.a Приднестровская Молдавская Республика (rus) a.k.a. Придністровська Молдавська Республіка (ukr)
    7. We could really use a full translation of the reverse inscription Because I don’t think that this badge was attributed absolutely correctly. And if it comes to that – obverse central tablet translation wanted too Regards, Nick
    8. It is obvious that Yuguan badge is close relative of Shanxi Disaster Relief badge. Same disaster – different province – different warlord – slightly different design of the badge. By the way – what we’ve got here is another perfect example for this gallery http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/topic/53158-warlord-period-decorations-some-trivial-observations-of-their-confusing-similarity/
    9. Zhang Zuolin (for more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhang_Zuolin)
    10. The design really rings the bell! This badge usually (if we could apply term “usually” to this specimen, which was bought and sold with the same description couple of times ) described as “1st Class medal for Yuguan Relief issued in 1925 (?!) by the 10th troops brigadier”. It looks like this badge was issued by the 10th troops brigadier, Liu Yife Lui who was a secondary military officer and belonged to the force of warlord Zhang Zuolin in Manchuria.
    11. This is one beautiful lion! Nice!!! Thanks, Nick
    12. Well it was sold for 52 http://www.ebay.com/itm/JAPANESE-ARMY-MANCHURIAN-INCIDENT-MEDAL-WAR-CHINA-RARE-MUKDEN-PRE-WW2-WW1-NAVY-/110857899172?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19cfa54ca4&autorefresh=true#ht_6569wt_714 Still way too high... But it is definitely no miracle. Maybe this time? http://www.ebay.com/itm/JAPANESE-ARMY-MANCHURIAN-INCIDENT-MEDAL-WAR-CHINA-RARE-MUKDEN-PRE-WW2-WW1-NAVY-/110862554677?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUA%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D110857899172%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D7757524952876225351#ht_9002wt_689
    13. So (if I understand you correctly) the right style for KIA officially engraved Purple Hearts will be only and only Robert P.McGuire or (alternative variant) Robert P. McGuire Correct? I wonder if there were any government specifications for engraving ... But of course I will agree that P separately in the middle without dot is not your usual engraving style ... Know these sites. Nice collection Scott
    14. Hi Scott, why do you think this is not official engraving? Regards, Nick
    15. Small cozy shop they got. Looks like in the color version of TOMEI logo is yellow with a droplet of red.
    16. Hope these two leaflets will be interesting to ours colleagues who read German Regards, Nick
