Mervyn Milton collected British and Colonial historical police memorabilia - particularly decorated (coats-of-arms) truncheons and also, tipstaffs. Prior to the 1880's when i.d.'s were introduced, these were official badges of office for many important officials - incl. police, judges etc.. The collection includes many other items and there are a lot of old uniforms. Most items are at least 150 years old.
