Nr. 4. Trust you have all noticed the police uniforms with LW eagle, the Prussian opolice style standarte, and the police helmets? And of course, the LPG GG cufftitle, which appears to be the same for all ranks (some books indiate there may have been differences in materials used for officers and EM/NCO?s).

Joe, There was plenty of uniform wearing in the interbellum, and there was an interbellum industry of medal manufacturing as well. I am familiar with the medal loops you refer to, and in fact, own a bunch of fairly high end tunics myself: you can check them out athttp://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20065 if you wish. From the little I know of EK?s 1914, I?m pretty sure the Godet with fangs is private purchase, not issue. What I am trying to establish is whether that type of cross was wartime manufactured or not, so that I may deterimne whether it would be suitable for one of the tunics I own. If you or anyone else can help me answer this rather specific question, that would be much appreciated. Regards, Sandro

Thanks Joe. But are they wartime, do you know? Thanks, Sandro

Let?s push this back up, because I can?t really believe that the lack of response denotes a lack of interest. Perhaps a bit of narative may be helpful. With thanks to Eric Queen, what is on display here is a reunited pair of Fallschirm Infanterie Batallion NCO boards (left), alsongside a pair of boards of the Infanterie Lehr Battlion with buttons for the 15th Kompagnie (right). To quote Eric: The FIK (Fallschirm Infanterie Kompanie) was the 15th company of the Infanterie Lehr Rgt. from 4/37 to 6/38. During this time, they used the strap with the white "L". The Kompanie expanded to a Batl. in June of 38 and at that point they began using the "FJ" straps. Of course the Lehr regiment continued to use staps with a white L later in the war, but those straps are not for the Fallschirm Infanterie. It must be the very early verison for waffenrock (like this one) or the M36 field tunic version (with the pointed tips) Enjoy, Sandro

Gents, Nice cross, my compliments. I?ve come across a similar Godet, and was wondering whether it would be appropriate for a wartime (i.e., pre november 1918) tunic I own. Are these Godet crosses with fangs wartime, or are they postwar? Many thanks for your help, Regards, Sandro
