    1. Kev, the ring looks to be original, not a later replacement. I believe that it's either an inspection mark or initials of the recipient. Franken, thanks for the identification. Since this was, as you stated, a later variant could this be the early type made by Hemmerle: Swords are completely different and they are attached little bit higher than on the later type. Thanks in advance.
    2. This is my new find. It's a mystery to me due to the mark 'J.R.' on the ring. As far as I know there were only four makers of MVKs - Weiss, Lesser, Hemmerle and Deschler (and Godet after war) so either it's a private purchase or maker not known to me... ...or maybe the initials of recipient?
    3. Ah, then it could any of the medals awarded for wedding given in that period. I know that for example Prussia has its own medal, here for example is how the ribbon for such a medal looked like in Saxe-Coburg-Gotha... Your only clue is Berlin...maybe some of the other forumites would be able to provide more info.
    4. Only one that comes to my mind was the Karl-Olga medal introduced in 1889 for services in the Red Cross organization. As far as I remember both Karl I. and his wife were depicted on the medal but i'm not sure whether there was some text mentioning their wedding.
    5. As usual has the Raritaetensammlerclub something extraordinary and never seen before for sale. This time it's the Knight Cross to the Bavarian MVO??? Never heard that such a class of this order existed... http://cgi.ebay.de/415-Ritterkreuz-d-bayerischen-Militaer-Verdienstorden_W0QQitemZ140350250434QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMilitaria?hash=item20ad86ddc2&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 ...1010 EUR so far.
    6. Still collecting...

    7.:beer::beer: Many thanks go to Franken75 for his support.:beer::beer:
    8. 3) Another MVK3X this time on original ribbon for officials. Again cannot recognize the maker but looks like Lesser.
    9. 2) MVK3XC - not sure about the maker but was thinking about Weiss?
    10. What was the difference between the cross on Hauptman's badge and 'circle' on my example?
    11. Nice one. How much does it weight? The frame looks like an aluminum 3rd reich era piece on the other hand the core seems to be 'heavy' WW1 iron.
    12. Never seen that before. Is it a badge for those wounded in spain?
    13. Very nice! According to the WikiPedia Korvettenkapitan Klaus Feldt is still alive. 97 years old http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_Feldt
    14. Hello Franken, as per our PMs this is the cross that was supposed to be completely non magnetic. Unfortunately the seller was wrong and the swords are made of iron. Looking at the previous cross I can see that there are some differences between that one and this one but you're the expert. Is it still Deschler made or someone else?
