    1. Please don't forget those collectors who live on the other side of the "pond". I too would like to purchase one of these when they become available. Too bad you can't link this site to the manufacturer to see that there is a market/demand for quality items such as the one you displayed. Best Regards, JustinG
    2. Out of curiosity, how were you able to determine the age of the civilian shirt/plaid shirt? Regards, JustinG
    3. This looks like a standard, probably enlisted embroidered eagle. It could go on any uniform that would take a black eagle. The backing is interesting; it is only the inside when you separate the backing from the eagle that shows up brown? With backing inplace, it looks black. Is this correct? Regards, JustinG
    4. The standard Unterseebootschule tally is not as uncommon as say the Unterseebootsabwehrschule, Unterseebootsschuleflottille tallies. I would estimate around 150 Euro is a fair price to pay.. I got a decent one on ebay for 90USD. Shown here, there is a bit of fraying on the "h". This is my duplicate. That being said, there is no unterseeboot tally that is just out there "floating" around. Regards, JustinG
    5. You are correct, I am missing that one as well. Makes it 5. Darn it. Thanks for keeping me honest. Regards, 2dresq JustinG
    6. An updated shot of my Zerstorer tallies. I am only missing 4: Diether Von Roeder Erich Koellnger, Anton Schmitt and Hermann Kuenne. Regards, JustinG
    7. A very nice grouping. Best regards, JustinG
    8. There is this ebay auction on ebay.de which shows what you are looking for. http://cgi.ebay.de/orig-Foto-Soldat-Marine-Marine-Mutzenband-Gneisenau-/380285795384?pt=Militaria&hash=item588accbc38
    9. Agree with the above. A very nice piece. How much does this piece weigh since it is over a meter long? What is the construction please? Regards, JustinG
    10. These caps are beautiful gentlemen. Quite enjoyed myself looking at some great headgear. Alas, I have none to contribute. Maybe sometime in the future. Congratulations to all you who are charged with keeping and preserving these wonderful caps. Regards, JustinG
    11. These K-Verbande insignia are quite expensive. I was hoping to find out about this one myself. Here is a one that is 2 grades above yours that is considered to be original by other forums and members. I believe yours could have some hope as being an original. **** This is just an opinion from someone who is not experienced enough with this to make the determination. These awards are rare and so command a high price. This can be an expensive mistake, so it is best to wait for others with more experience to comment.*** Regards, Justin 2dresq
    12. To have a badge that has held on to its golden gilt as well as this one and the cut out swastika being undamaged. This is a really nice piece. GWL's are nice badges. They and the Juncker eagles are the best designed ones. IMHO. Congrats on the addition! Justin 2dresq
    13. A very nice piece. Regards, Justin 2dresq
    14. I have been working on my display. I think that I will create one that has the Scharnhorst/Gniesenau with the 3 Panzerschiff, and the Kreuzer Fleet. I have been having a hell of a time mounting these. Mostly finding ways of securing and keeping some gentle traction without causing a great deal of strain over a harsh bend. If someone has a good idea how they stored their items. I have removed the tallies from the glass case I had previously posted. I am thinking that I should invest in some paper or cotton cloth wadding and make little tubular roles and have them along the posterior side of the matting board. then have the tallies wrapped and have a securement piece of matting for behind. This is going to be quite a time involved project seeing I am trying to mount several tallies and trying to maintain good spacing, no sagging and maintaining a level display. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. Regards, JustinG
    15. Very nice indeed. Such attention to detail was placed with each of these pieces of naval insignia. Top notch. Regards, Justin 2dresq
    16. Very nice. Congrats on your pick up! Regards, 2dresq Justin
    17. Do you have an extra 2. Schnellbootsflottille tally handy, I have a halb and 1 s-flott as you can see.
      Up for some trades?
      Regards,
      Justin

    18. These two are also quite rare and I am happy to add them to my collection. Regards, Justin 2dresq
    19. Here are some new destroyer tallies that are going to be making their way into my port! Regards, Justin My destroyer fleet is coming on. I just need a few more. Thanks for looking.
    20. Another shot of the Schnellboot tallies I have. Regards, Justin 2dresq
    21. These shields as everyone can agree, contain tons of controversy. To me, I believe that these if they are period pieces are much like the WW1 trench art, or the over-sized constructed KC for U-boat crews. They are of course, quite desirable. It would be interesting to see if there was a test to see when the metal was formed. Sort of like a C.S.I Militaria deal. In today's world of fakes and forgeries, I am always and will always remain skeptical until, some other proof can be obtained. Both Michael and Peter's examples shared do look convincing though... Regards, 2dresq
    22. last one. Regards, Justin 2dresq
