    1. We DO have (for about a month now) one member that can do it... amazingly he just never posted yet despite my requests... Hope he will find the time and will one of these days... Dolf
    2. Yeah, long time no posts on this Mongolian awards forum!... As for your Types & Variations list above it seems ok! Two Types with two Variations each seems to be just fine. Dolf (the other survivor )
    3. Ed, So which Type & Var. is the one I posted on Posts #10 and #11? When posting it I identified it as a T2V4 as it was the only one unnumbered on your previous Types & Variations list (Post #1 on this thread). But apparently there are two Var. unnumbered, one with a reverse like mine from Posts #10 and #11, and another with the funny reverse as the one you posted on Post #25 ! Any opinions? Thanks, Dolf
    4. If real, it would be a real bargain for such a set! For that price it looks indeed weird! Dolf
    5. Ok, I found it. Less than an hour to the end of the auction, and 38 bids... and with door to door delivery worldwide!!! Yeah, not that expensive after all, but not for my wallet either... Dolf
    6. Is it for sale on eBay?!... Wow! Amazing how we went from the Me 109 to the 2 CV and now almost back to the Messerschmitt again... Dolf
    7. Dave, I'm terribly sorry, I know we went off topic some time ago and even mentioned it in some Post above, but I guess I just couldn't avoid it... Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa... Anyway, I guess what Dan says "I'm guessing the Me 109 was a fun plane and goes along with these fun cars" is also entirely true... I still love the Me 109 a lot and it's still my favorite WWII fighter anyway... Dolf
    8. Dan, Well said! That'sw exactly that. Do you believe that I can't tell which car is which today? They all look the same to me, no matter which manufacturer they come from... Maybe that's just me, but... Dolf
    9. Gerd, As you may have noticed from my posts above the 2CV is my favorite car ever, I just happen to drive a 4L now for reasons too long to describe here. Anyway, they didn't rate it under the best 10 cars, they placed it in 5th place or so, among the top 10. Underated anyway imho, but it was an American show, so... The Ford T was considered #1 btw. Sure a great car but I never drove one or was even inside one... so the 2 CV is definetely my choice for #1 Btw, the story about turning it over in a curve I know the story but I thought it was about another Citro?n, the ID or the DS I think. But I know from my own experience that it is almost impossible to turn over a 2 CV, no matter how fast you make a curve! Well, sure they never go as fast as a Ferrari, but still... Dolf
    10. Just found a pic from last year, when a friend (also member of this Forum btw ) came to visit with his girlfriend. Here they are next to my old R 4L, with the Tagus river behind. Dolf
    11. Hey, but as we speak of these old models, how to forget the Renault 4L? (Quite the same I drive, btw The only difference is that mine is from 89 and is kind of white ivory, and because the law demands it has 2 external rear view mirrors ) Dolf
    12. Dan, A VW Beetle you said? So here is one I just got, the 1960 model Dolf
    13. Hi Mark, Yeah, a lot of different stuff indeed Yes, anything can be purchased individually, you don't need to subscribe the entire collection. I'm collecting the whole WWII aircraft series, but I also occasionally buy individual pieces from other series, as the Tintin cars series or the "Os nossos queridos carros" (Our dear cars) series, see for example this other thread, Posts #24 and #25, where I posted a couple of these: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=4536...=20entry75719 These are sold in every "kioske" so one can get only each individual piece we are interested in. Or arrange things with the owner of the "kioske" to always keep/save one for you if you interested in buying the whole collection. I haven't bought no tank because I find them a bit too small (1/72 scale) and also because we can't have everything and have to make choices So I can't say much about their quality, I think they are not metal miniatures as the aircraft. They announce them somewhere in their site as made of "injected plastic" (whatever that is!) and metal! Not 100% sure what that means! As for the different toy soldiers they do have quite a few indeed! I have none of these either. Now that I checked what they have I notice some are indeed quite attractive! As far as I can read all these toy soldiers series are made of lead (?), you know the only metal Superman can't see through it with his X Ray vision I see what you mean for (real) bombers Well, as far as I know they don't have these now, but never knows what's next. Ok, hope it helps. Regards, Dolf
    14. Mark, I believe that right now they only have these aircraft. Notice that there are a couple of bombers among them. They have a lot of different miniatures (and other kind of things) collections right now, cars (rally cars, classic cars, taxis, combat cars, etc...), motocycles, books, dogs, you name it... but as far as I can see only this aircraft collection at least for the moment. No idea what they will have in the near future! Rather than using their Spanish site for which I believe I posted the link above I use their Poirtuguese site instead as those are the collections going out here: http://www.planetadeagostini.pt/index.php Just click on "coleccionismo" on the top of that page, you'll see what kind of collectibles they have. Best, Dolf
    15. Here is the Soviet Ilyushin IL-2 Sturmovik. A mythic bird! This one was flown by Comrade Captain A.N. Yefimov, during the 1944-1945 winter on East Prussia. I believe he was a Soviet Ace and a Hereo of the SU, destroying 126 tanks, 3 enemy aircraft in dogfights, and 85 on the ground, 30 trains, 193 artillery guns and 43 anti aircraft batteries! Wow! Dolf
    16. Thanks Stephen. Got # 43 today, so only 7 for having the collection complete! Dolf
    17. Happy May 1st, Happy Worker's Day! Dolf
    18. Dan, Very nice car indeed! And with beautiful colors! Dolf PS: I hope the fellow members who started this thread dedicated to the (also) beautiful Me 109 won't mind that we somehow have gone a bit...
    19. Dan, Isn't it lovely, the 2 CV?... Many years ago I made thousands of Kms all over Europe, part of Asia and Northern Africa in one (one of these posted here below, in fact, so could even sleep inside!) and it would go everywhere with it with no problem! Better than the 2 CV only the Ferrari I guess... Dolf
    20. Paul, They are all beautiful One of my favorite Soviet Medals, along with the Medal for 20 Years of the Worker's and Peasant's Red Army, the Partizan Medals, the Medal for Bravery, the Medal for Strenghtening Military Cooperation, the Defense of Stalingrad, of Leningrad, of Sevastopol, of Odessa Medals, the Medals for Distinguished Military Service... well, I love them all I guess Dolf
    21. Thanks Ed So the differences between Post #1 and Post #85 are?... (as you say "additionS" I suppose you found both ) Dolf
