    1. Hi Garth, I was wondering if you would be prepared to sell your bronze QSA to Luchman. I  have one to Minto of the same unit if you wanted a replacement.

        David,

I'd be glad to trade you my bronze QSA Luchman for yours. I'm only interested in having an example in my collection.

        Regards,

        Garth

    2. Emerson's book is expensive but if you want one book on US Army insignia and uniforms this is the one to have.
    3. I believe you are correct. This DSM looks to be a 1950s vintage. Is there any hallmark on the brooch.
    4. An older collector has asked me to help him dispose of his collection. He had very eclectic tastes and tried to acquire everything. This is his FFL insignia collection. I have a very limited knowledge of these badges. Do any of you see anything of value or rarity above the common? There isn't any of the R code reproductions in the group. TIA, Garth
    5. I have been looking for a nice horizon blue French officer tunic at a decent price for some. I had some luck recently at a local militaria show. I believe this is a Captain of Engineers with overseas and wound chevron. I would like to know what the pair of vertical loops are for, possibly a War Academy badge. All comments welcome. Garth
    6. Francois, Thank you very kindly for this information. It is very interesting this officer was an American. Garth
    7. Bison, Thank you for taking the time to answer. It clears things up. Garth
    8. I recently acquired these to Legions of Honor which appear to be variations of the Monarchy of July version. Any comments much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Garth
    9. ROTC disk for Shattuck School ref. The Collar Disk Story L. Albert SCIPIO II PG 209
    10. Thank you for the information. The hallmarks on the left are from the Rifle Regiment and the one on the right for the 12th. Mervyn I traded into these and probably will not keep them. Garth
    11. They are each approximately 6.5" x 3" and weigh about 1/2 pound each. Here are closeups of the silver hallmarks.
    12. Here are two Victorian officer's belt pouches in silver. One id for the Rifle Brigade the other 12th Prince of Wales Lancers
    13. I recently picked up this armband. It is done on fine wool with gold bullion trim and cypher. I am wondering exactly what it was used for. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Garth
    14. Brett, Thank you for the reply and taking time to look up Sgt Prevost. BTW the initials are W M P, my eyes are not what they used to be. Garth
