Happy New Year Gentlemen, A friend sent this to me for varification. I have never seen one before, so I thought I would run it past the talking heads. Please let me know your opinions and the reasons why. Please post pictures of real ones if you have them for comparison. Happy Holidays & Thanks, Vince

Soviet Major of Infantry Victory Parade uniform
sftrooper86 replied to sftrooper86's topic in USSR: Soviet: Other Militaria
Hello Ed, I purchased this item in 1992 on a business trip to Volgograd. It is what it is. There were no "fantasy" uniforms in Russia at that time. I was there and 6 additional times as well between the years 1992 and 1994. I brought back many uniforms (NKVD, Army, etc) before I even knew what they were. Many were direct family purchases done in a very descrete manner as they thought we were the Militia trying to trap them into illegally selling STATE property. It is a shame the collector community has become so paranoid, it started with the nazi stuff and now apparently it is in every facet of collecting. I always welcome feedback from fellow collectors, even when it is not asked for. I am however looking for a Mongolian Officers leather belt and buckle to complete my display. I welcome your assistance in this matter. Sincerely, Vince -
Here is my Mongolian Major of Infantry Victory parade tunic. Any chance of locating a brown "sam brown style leather belt with the brass open face buckle with the mongolian symbols inside of it for this uniform? I had a chance years ago to buy one but I did not know what it was! Happy Hunting! Vince

Bulgaria Bulgarian Cap
sftrooper86 replied to Riley1965's topic in Central & Eastern European States
Hi Doc, Vince Leone here in Phoenix. Did you ever find out about this Bulgarian cap? Time period, branch, anything? I have a uniform and need a cap but have no idea what it looks like. My best, Vince (18D, US Army) -
Hi David, I'm sorry that I dont have the photos you are looking for but I did send your list to a friend who may be able to help. Can you tell me a little about Bulgaria's involvement with Germany during WW2. Like which campaigns were they involved in and major battles. I have a nice WW2 Bulgarian Officer's Uniform and am just now doing some research on it. I assume they were awarded German awards. Do you have any pictures of Bulgarians wearing Nazi awards? Thank you & Happy Hunting! Vince

Hello Gentlemen, I know this is a very open ended question but what is a reasonable price range for a nice condition EK2 with a maker marked ring? Everything seems to be jumping in value by leaps and bounds. I just am looking for a ballpark price. Thank you in advance! Vince

Luftwaffe LUFTWAFFE NARVIK SHIELD
sftrooper86 replied to sftrooper86's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Hi Joe, The clearer photos you have submitted of your fake shield just cement my findings. I guess we will have just agree to disagree. When you have been doing this as long as I have been you will know that opinions are like buttocks. Everyone has one, and unfortunately some stink. Besides you should not feel too bad about collecting fakes, that's how we learn. Happy Hunting! -

Heer Herr Artillery Badge, Real or Not?
sftrooper86 replied to sftrooper86's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Hello, Which item were you selling and when? I just got home from Iraq about 3 months ago. I tried a little commo from there but our uplinks were not always reliable. If I was me I appologize but have to blame my Uncle Sam for any technical difficulties. Please let me know though, I am now interested in the evaporation comment. My best, Vince -

Heer Another Herr Flak badge
sftrooper86 replied to sftrooper86's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Hi Phil, Thank you for your two pence! I could not agree more. I historically have always been a visor cap/tunic collector and only dabbled in badges to dress my tunics. It is certinly a field in itself as you mentioned. No I do not currently have this badge. Thank you & Cheers! Vince -

Yes, I guess that means that there is only one manufacturer! That is why I no longer collect badges. There are 1000 fakes for every real one, and no one has the fakes! End of story here Gents!
