Hi, Additionally, these pieces came in a different sized case than the "standard" blue RK KvK case. I had to do a double take when I first saw them on jason's table. Gary B

Paul, A very nice family grouping. You were destined to be a medic, despite your time in the Marines! You should do some sort of shadow box that covers all 3 generations. For example I have a small shadow box with my Army dogtags, my father's WWII dogtags and my grandfather's WWI dogtags. GaryB

Hi, As for insignia of Heer Chaplains, there uniform was similar to that of regular Heer officers except that they wore no shoulderboards. Piping/waffenfarbe was purple. Additionally, if I recall, there were 2 different type of crosses that were worn on a chain, one for Catholic (priests) and another for other Christian denominations. Gary B

Luftwaffe FJR cuff titles
Gary B replied to Eric Stahlhut's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Eric, Alot of people hesitate on these since the fakes are so good and most of us know so little about these titles (plus they are fairly expensive). As has been mentioned Paddy is probably a good choice to look at these. I would also recommend Eric Queen and Willi Zahn, who are members of another forum which you are also a member of. Gary B -
Luftwaffe H.G. Ribbon bar help needed!
Gary B replied to sftrooper86's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Vince, Where have you been!? Did you get my emails? As for the ribbons, I wil start off: The first 2 are EK2, Order of Hohenzollern.....2 LS awards, I can not assist with the rest. Gary B -
Dear Charles, All general officers wore white except Generaloberst Rudel. He was given special permission to have red underlay denoting flak since he was head of all Luftwaffe flak. The tabs pictured were manufactured by the firm Thiele and Steinhert (sp??). Attached is a press release of Generaloberst Rudel showing these very same tabs and a photo of reverse of "regular" GenObst tabs made by T&S. Gary B

Luftwaffe unknown marker pilot badge
Gary B replied to woodeye's topic in Wehrmacht Medals, Decorations & Awards
Dear Woodeye, The badge you picture appears to be a late war, zinc pilot badge attributed to the firm; FLL. The hinge and catch on the one you picture appears to have been replaced/repaired. Gary B -
Hi, The cross after the name is known as a Todd Cross and signifies that the subject of the card is deceased, as does the black border. Additionally, this is a very poor copy of Richthofen's signature. the only thing about this sale that is ok is the price...$4K is what a original Richthofen signed Sanke could bring. Gary B

Hi Larry and Paul, I currently have 150 pairs of tabs and a few singles; approximately 140 of those pairs are officer tabs. My goal is to get one pair of each of the officer ranks from Leutnant to Oberst in each of the different waffenfarbes. Unfortunately the few pairs that I need are extremely rare and it will just be a matter of being in the right place at the right time if they ever come up for sale. I am trying to stay away from the EM/NCO tabs and am only getting a representative NCO tab from each of the differnt waffenfarbes. Thanks for the comments. Gary B
