    1. Hi Rick - it is amazing also for me! The rearside look normal, means flat like the unofficial bars of the landwehr, 2nd class. It seems to be (in german: Bronze versilbert) is this correct: brass?silvered?(?). What do YOU think about it?
    2. I've got this unofficial long-service bar?today?and?because?I?didn't?see?this?kind?before -?I've?seen?only?one?with?enamel?- I?would?like?to?post?it?here?for?dicussion. In my opinion it seems to be an 3rd class bar for 9 years, butI'm not sure. Anybody who can help me? Thanks a lot westfale
    3. ...and how I can get one of the books after printing? westfale
    4. And here are the other two crosses, left for "Kriegsteilnhmer", right for "Witwen und Waisen".
    5. Hi Dante! It is with swords like the picture below:
    6. Hi Glenn, thanks a lot for your help and the information you gave me about this guy! westfale
    7. Hi! Due to the really superp help I've got in the past I would ask here for some details of an officer of the "Gendarmerie-Brigade in Elsa?-Lothringen". He is the major "a la suite" Mierzinsky, and I found him at my prussian ranklist of 1895, but I have no list of the later years. Does anyone have a little bit more information about him, e.g. his career or the orders/awards he got? Thanks a lot in advance! westfale
    8. Hi! I would show you one of my favorites: the prussian decoration for twenty years of service in the landwehr, normally given to officers/medicines. This?one?is made in silver with golden medaillons. Comments are welcome! westfale
    9. Some info's: Milit?rsanit?tskreuz 1870/71, founded 25.08.1870 by Grand-Duke Ludwig III. von Hessen, awarded below 1000 and made by bronze gilded; Milit?rsanit?tskreuz 1914/18, founded 12.08.1914 by Grand-Duke Ernst-Ludwig von Hessen, awarded with "normal" ribbon given 1870 and also with war-ribbon (see my picture) and made by bronze, gilded and also by zinc.
    10. And (for the moment) finally a cross for 20 years of service in the "landwehr":
    11. So here you have two more - the rare 1866 cross for non-combattant...
    12. Nice to see that you like the pictures! Before I will give you some details how I made these pictures - should I post some more?
    13. Great pictures! Here one of my attempts:
    14. For all of you who are interested in detail, here the rearside of my cross. Not so spectacular like the front, but nice, too:
    15. I will try schaumburg-lippe again, because there are some problem in the way to sumbit pictures...
    16. And another one, same period, this time from schaumburg-lippe:
    17. Here are some of my "older friends" I've found some years ago and which I would like to show you; hope you will like them, too! westfale At first the one from the seventies long ago...
    18. I know, this is not a bar like the others, but because i'm missing the Landwehr-decorations a little bit I put this into my post, hope it's not a problem... So at least the Landwehr-Dienstauszeichnung f?r Offiziere for 20 years of service:
    19. Here are my ones. The DA for 21 years seems to be the 3rd variation, made 1856-75 by "ZEHN". The DA for 15 years ist made 1875-1894 (4th variation) by "A. Werner & S?hne Berlin", and the DA for nine years was made between 1875 and 1894 also by "ZEHN". I think these bars are really nice, because they are better made than the DAs made quite before WW1! westfale !st one:
