    1. Great picture Ed. I believe many people underestimate the (historical) importance of this little badge!!! Just great! JC
    2. Woohoo Ed has another one.... This still is a bit of an odd thing though but we're getting a nice range for these screwplates, assuming that they are all original.. Just for easy ref. here is where we stand: Only found on polar star type 3 so far Serial# 554 583 1035 1217 1562 Cheers. JC
    3. talk about cheap documents!! yasuda docs.
    4. Paul, I too am pleased with the fact that a lot of the Japanese stuff is very affordable, and the fact that the vast majority of these medals and orders come with very nice cases makes them even more attractive, not least from a display standpoint. Too much wonderful stuff out there!! JC
    5. I agree Ed, but I feel bad for "mililaw42" , the last one sold by that seller went for $76 and even that was high.... E$cam at its best!!! It ended at $202.50!@#$%@#%&^$@%@!!! JC
    6. well it does look good but the majority of these I've seen have been selling for about that.... Ok make it $50 on a good day... I know that the one my brother has, came from the same seller and is in the same, if not better condition and it was $45 on the nose with case.... Perhaps he got lucky but, $202 is getting into Nomonhan medal territory!!! JC
    7. This Mukden incident medal is selling on ebay for an amazing $202 so far..... I thought these went for the 30-45 range..... Am I missing something or what???? ebaylisting
    8. Nice find Ed, Just had a look at Alexei's site and he has three type 1.1.1 listed with serial# 1116, 1179, and 1442 and Chinzorig has one listed with serial #1499 although I dont like the serial number ...what do you think??
    9. Thanks you guys!!!.....I'm still amazed!! Good Luck William!!! I just noticed that Eugene has raised his price to (almost) match Igor's price... So better be quick!! JC So to follow the example of the SB thread... There are now two of these for sale. Collectrussia $4200 (nice with low serial# 607) russianglory $3950 (nice enamel but unusual patina on the front (just my opinion) and a very high serial# 2324 , so possibly unissued????)
    10. Feel free to use mine too! although with Ed here I doubt you'll be needing mine!!! Got a nice industrialization order though! JC
    11. don't forget the slightly lighter colour!!! JC Great piece Ed!!!!!!!!!!!
    12. 166????? That would mean it belonged to this fellow!!!! 166 29/05/1957 Voroshilov, Kliment Efremovitsh, Marshal USSR (with HS MPR)
    13. Here is a rough translation of the cover..... mongolian government herding (related) "bichig" can mean many things. in this case I think it means certificate 1963 Ulaanbaatar Xot (city) I suspect this is certificate recognizing some acheivement in herder related activities. I doubt that this was for a herders badge, but just a certificate. JC
    14. Although I agree that 12k is a huge amount to pay for a single item, if the right item were to come around I might be tempted... My problem is that I have yet to buy anything Mongolian as an investment, I just can't imagine parting with any of them.. I am however glad to know that my "investment" is secure... I wouldn't want the value to drop, but that isn't the purpose of collecting for me. JC ps. not sure if this is relevant but I thought I'd share all the same....
    15. I can't begin to describe how excited I am about the arrival of this beauty!!!! I had my expectations but this exceeded all of them!!!! This has to be one of the best looking orders ever!!! Ok I'm biased but still!!!!! Anyway on with the pictures!!! Say hello to my new Industrialization valour Serial # 129 That makes it a new low and it is in absolutely phenomenal condition for a 60 to 70 year old!! enjoy!! JC
    16. The only thing I can help you with and which may shed some light on this book is the Cyrillic at the bottom that reads: Court (?????) ministry press Ulaanbaatar year 1948
    17. I'm guessing that these where taken apart several years ago when they were actually worth nothing more than the gold price.... Today they are worth (guessing) at least three times the gold/platinum value so somebody would have to be pretty thick to do that now....Unless the item was stolen and it's being done to cover their tracks.... Very sad this!!!! JC
    18. My brother had a thought about this one..... Could this be a victim of the same "crime" as a lot of Soviet motherhood orders?... Ripped apart and the gold sold!!!! Very sad to see something like this!!! My guess $250-$300 is where it'll end... But what do I know... JC
    19. New low serial # for a PB #813!!!! Nice enamel... for sale right now, you know where!!! Starting at $99!!! I wonder where this one will end at!!!
    20. I got all excited when I saw the price and the picture....but then I saw the big picture and now I'm not so sure.... I passed and I think with good cause... Any thoughts? JC ps. I do still need one so....................
    21. I know this one has been posted before but I, like Jan, am very very pleased with this little badge... A nice W22....
    22. An interesting one that recently sold on Ebay for about $600..... New high for a type 1.2 I believe.... ( or is that a type 1.3???) JC
    23. Whooops it seems I misread a little... There were 6557 total awards issued... of all three classes, and not cavaliers. This makes more sense since the award was only instituted in 1974... So, sorry for getting you all excited.... I saw this thread and had a quick look through my brothers book and he said he paid $85 for this last year sometime, but it seems the only ones available are from this website for $99. Bulgariana It is a good book with many many colour pictures but the English isn't the greatest. I'll scan the page in question so you guys can take a look for your selves. Sorry again for the mixup. JC
