    1. Picture not working for me.. Would love to see it
    2. I checked about 30 award documents I happened to have at home and not one of the entries was missing the date and decree data. I have a nairamdal/ friendship document or two somewhere but I know those aren't missing that info either. So perhaps others here will be able to tell you more. Jan
    3. More than welcome. I like your North korean items too. Are any of them soviet made screw back versions? Are any of the red stars awarded to Mongolians? Thanks Jan
    4. Very nice collection you have there. I like two newer medals you have. The 2003 khalkhin gol medal and the first in that same row. Could you post some bigger pictures of those please? as well as the reverse too. Congrats and welcome to the forum. Jan
    5. Medal is 100% real and if you got it for $175 or less it was a good price in my book. Jan
    6. I would expect the second page to have all the info filled in. I have dozens of different award booklets and I don't recall seeing this info missing. Anybody wanna comment on the source coinsky................? Jan

I've also been offered this medal, which according to the website I posted above, should be made from Silver. The other medal I have of the same vintage is made from silver but this one clearly is in bronze or brass. Doesnt mean it isn't real though, but I just don't know. I've posted a picture of the newer version of the same medal just for comparison. Check the website in my previous post for more info on this medal too. Any advice before I commit would be greatly appreciated. Jan

Just picked up this little beauty. I've been assured the ribbon is original but who knows...Paid way too much for the thing, but how often have you seen one of these? It's a 25th anniversary enthronement medal from 1999 in silver and it's nice and heavy. This was claimed to be (by the seller) the original medal awarded to people actually taking part in the celebrations. This same medal later became a merit medal in two classes with either a silver or golden central medallion and a different ribbon. See here for more http://www.royalark.net/Bhutan/bhutan5.htm enjoy Jan
    9. The large Soviet document reads: In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the soviet police forces this commemorative medal is awarded... Nice group btw. Jan
    10. Hot damn!!!!! Congrats Bob... Amazing find and yes I'm jealous!!!
    11. There is a chance I may br getting a pair of binoculars awarded to a herder in the '40s .... Good provenance and from a reliable source but no "proof". At least it'll be representative of the gift if nothing more... And what I wouldn't give for those little statues and "board".. Awesome.
    12. Great stuff Bob. I have a few more interesting things to add when I get home... I also have some theories on why the conferences stopped. With some evidence to support my theory. I just had a thought about the 3rd type badges. In this thread there are three documents shown for the type 3 badges from 1959,'61 and '62. How would those fit in? Anyway more when I get home, but food for thought. Jan
    13. And last but not least... The Badge was awarded in conjunction with one of several gifts. All seemed to receive a pair of Mongolian boots (Felt, no doubt) and there were several other options. Togoochiin Jigjid was awarded/chose a pair of binoculars which, considering there was a war raging, must have been a luxury indeed. Again, I feel this goes to show just how important these badges really are. More to come! Jan
    14. Here is a short bio on Togoochiin Jigjid outlining what he did to deserve this fine badge.
    15. Here is confirmation of the badge number and certificate number awarded in November 1943 to Togoochiin Jigjid I seem to have some formating issues so I will just attach the text as a picture file.
    16. So here is Badge #476 and some wonderful information about the gentleman that earned it. Enjoy. Jan
    17. I too will hopefully be contributing to this thread shortly. Exciting times!
    18. I made an offer on the ribbon bars and the seller asked to conclude the sale outside of Ebay and that he had other items available............... I believe this is the same gentleman. The thing is, I had frequent dealings with him back in the early days and he always delivered great stuff... Maybe he has fallen on hard times who knows. I do know his real name although, I am reluctant to expose him here, I have emailed Ebay about this matter. Either way I doubt this will be the last we see of him. Jan
    19. Congratulations, a very nice medal you have there... j
    20. Congrats on the group Bob....... I was thiiiiiiiis close to winning it but I am glad it went to a good home. I hope that the other sources produce better results. J
    21. WOW....Chingis thank you so much for all your efforts I/we really appreciate it!! I will get out my dictionary and start translating..fun fun!! JC
