    7. Very interesting pictures Leigh, I have an acquaintance who is from Jersey and I'm sure she would be very interested in these. Perhaps someone she knows (family, friends) may be able to help with the "now" shots... Could you please email me the pictures as well? Thanks JC peterse@rogers.com
    8. Same here, and at first I thought the serial number might have been 919. Just turned out ot be really bad scans, but that would have been fun. JC
    9. Two more to add to the list from our NJ friend. JC #684 with case $4450 #1388 $3200
    10. The name of the senior dentist/doctor is R.K. Nesterovich the name of the recipient is Vasily Demyanovich and it's a "happy victory day" card from the 4th dental polyclinic collective. Cheers JC
    11. Dear ChinaMedals, I hope you will read this thread, and other threads on this forum and find them informative. We, the forum, have made an enormous contribution to this particular field and as such we KNOW certain things... We know that many of these orders were sold from the mongolian state/central bank and so these were never awarded. I'm afraid the ones you are selling fall into that category. Polarstars were awarded almost in random order but the ORCBs were much more logical. That being said one member here works at a mongolian bank and has first hand knowledge that these were sold by the bank. We take the historical significance, authenticity of these awards very seriously and I'm sure both Bob and I, and all the other members reading this post, would love to be shown the documents etc. that you say prove these were awarded. If you expect somebody to pay $12,000 for these you should be able to prove your case. It's only fair! Cheers and good luck JC
    12. Yes Ed, don't even think about going anywhere else!!! I must add that I find this rather unexpected. You've contributed so much to this field.... JC
    13. I had a look through some of my docs and these are what I came up with. These are just the ones that I think aren't on the list already... Hope these help JC "We Won" 00975 6-7-1946 09454 9-7-1946 36045 1-11-1946 25th anni. 13460 17-8-1946 273 1950 (all it says but seemingly legit group, not the paper doc but written in one of the little red booklets) may want to leave out. 16084 7-8-1946 Labour Medal 1253 3-11-1945 3097 8-7-1947 3755 15-7-1952 4769 29-12-1946 6142 5-7-1956 Labour Order 1215 21-12-1958 5035 9-7-1981 Polar Star 838 4-12-1941 1003 11-9-1946 1432 6-2-1944 2937 8-7-1950 3524 26-11-1954 9436 11-10-1957 12056 7-7-1966 21968 26-11-1981 I have a bunch of udarnik, a partizan and a herder docs....should we do those too?? Cheers JC
    14. I just can't make it out.... What is the serial number on that piece??? Thanks JC
    15. This is a herder badge J02. This is the most common type and so the lowest price, it also has an incorrect screwplate so I would say no more than $75. I must say though that this one sometimes sells for more...not sure why. Cheers JC
    16. Hi there, This is a nice frienship medal. If I remember correctly a litle over 10,000 awarded so a middle of the pack one... $250 -$300.... Alexei has serial# 4594 for $285 Cheers. JC
    17. Bob, I had my wife take a look and the document says the usual stuff... Defender socialist state or ideals etc. The state awards him this award etc. The real interesting bit she could read though...the typed stuff in the middle. Could you please send me a higher quality file of it to see what she can make of it? Ok now for the somewhat exciting bit.... The signature is from somebody rather special. Perhaps you've heard of him, Kliment Voroshilov!!!!! Here is his signature on an interesting document I have... Enjoy. JC
    18. That would be one hell of a group, but yes, they are singles. JC
    19. Unfortunately no, but that just makes the finding out that much more exciting! JC
    20. D03 rev. The others have been posted in their repsective threads...
    21. So I finally received the piece I've been waiting for since January....long story. Bob's post about the archive etc. got me thinking. Which pieces would I like to get researched first, assuming it was/is/will be possible. Partizan badges, soyombo, Sukhbaatars all came to mind but in the end it was these four that I thought might be the most interesting. I base this purely, and probably erroneously, on the low serial numbers. I think these are all the lowest numbered examples of their kind. You guys can probably add a few amazing things to this little list. Cheers from a very happy me!!! JC 1. Order of Industrialization Valour #129 2. Red Combat Banner #4 3. Red Combat Banner 2nd award #12 4. Honourary Chekist #5
    22. It's really getting fun isn't it... I should post my recently acquired group, 17 doc, 5 order (including red star) D05 Chekist group... Just too many damn pictures!!! JC
    23. I think it is a deputat doc... On the first page of the doc near the bottom it says the usual stuff you'd expect. Ardin khural deputat.....etc. JC
