    1. Hallo Gents, I asked the owner / awardee about wearing the award of: DE STRAJA ROMANIEI SOCIALISTE. I asked could he wear them all together, and he responded with: Kevin in Deva.
    2. Hallo SICHERHEITSDIENTS. Welcome to the forum, with regards typing posts only in capital letters, this, is considered to be the online equivalent of "shouting" at somebody. Is it possible for you to type normally, its also easier on the eyes. Thank you and hopefully you will get a reply soon to your questions. Kevin in Deva.
    3. Hallo Mike, all I can add is that in the book, "Deutscheland Orden & Ehrenzeichen 1800-1945" by Jorg Nimmergut its listed under:- "Stahlhelm / Bund der Frontsoldaten: 2418/1 kleiner Bundesstern f.d. erweiterten Bundesrat. ." I believe they were a 1934 - 1934 issue only. Kevin in Deva
    4. From what I understand the criteria for these awards, required the soldier / veteran to apply for his medal from 1934 onwards, furnishing the relevant documentation of service, etc..etc.. Can we expect that: Kaiser Bill (Non-Combatant?) Luddendorf, Hindenburg, or even Hitler, even bothered to apply Kevin in Deva.
    5. Hallo Brian A online search gets the following for NIMES:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C3%AEmes In France. Kevin in Deva
    6. Many thanks for the info, as ever :jumping: By the way Bon Voyage Kevin in Deva
    7. Hallo Carol I, as usual thanks for the info, I will edit my original post. But, I wonder did he get to wear them all together Kevin in Deva.
    8. Hallo Gents, seems the awarding of the top one, was somewhat open affair, I have been told by one man, he got it on three distinct occasions, 1. At a Shooting competition, 2. Romanian National Day*, 23rd of August. 3. Romanian Army's day. 25th October. (currently held on 1st December, and bloody cold for weather for any parade to be held) Kevin in Deva.
    9. Number 2:- Romanian: MARINA MILITAR. R.S.R. Size: 25mm X 21mm. Kevin in Deva
    10. Hallo Gents two recent pieces that I have obtained:- Romania R.S.R. mid 1970's to mid 1980's. DE STRAJA ROMANIEI SOCIALISTE. Size 25mm X 25mm. Kevin in Deva
    11. Hallo Gents I posted this originally in the Czechaslovakian section because of the depiction of the cross with two arms:- http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2899...mp;#entry273586 Any thoughts or comments welcome. Kevin in Deva.
    12. On the other side:- SZOV . KOZBPFOKU. ISKOLK. SPORTKOREINEK. ORSZ VERSENYDIJA. Kevin in Deva
    13. Hallo Gents, My buddy Mike at the Hobby Club in Deva showed me this piece this evening:- The following is written on it: PRO PATRIA MORI : DULCE ET DECORUM EST. Any Ideas? Kevin in Deva

    15. Hallo VBS perhaps its better to wait for pictures before any members pass comment. Kevin in Deva.
    16. Hallo leigh, My opinion is this: I think its ok, as the ring seems to have an embellishment on it, where as the repro have a plain ring, if you look back the posts you can see some comparison photos I posted before. What I don't like is the price for this I would expect brevet, cross and mini in the box. They are not so rare items, frequently turning up on the "E" site. Kevin in Deva.
    17. Hallo Gents, spotted a lot of auctions by this seller on Ebay, http://cgi.ebay.de/Autograph-OU-Major-Preu...1QQcmdZViewItem Seller name:- schweineglueck Interestingly, he is selling off a whole load of Prussian and Associated German States Officer signatures complete with unit stamps, from pre WW1, Ww1, and post WW1. one can only wonder what documentation was butchered to build up such a collection. Hopefully, I don't think the cutting up was done by the seller, he probably acquired them this way. 83 X Euro 6.99 and 12 X 7.99 Euro adds up to a tidy sum even if all sell at the start price He has also listed about 20 X 1870 Feld Postcards. Kevin in Deva.
    18. Another example of the Italian WW2 badge for Invalids. Front. Kevin in Deva
    19. Yeah but thats hard to do when the "owner" flatly refuses to post close-ups Just in case somebody can find something wrong with it Kevin in Deva.
    20. Errr..................Chris, we don't mention that name, just in case.............you know.......... the number of the beast and all that Kevin in Deva
    21. Hallo Matt, these pictures are the only ones the owner is prepared to show, he has an aversion to any of his items being proved to be copy's, repros, or down right fakes, this "expert" is to clever to get caught like that, unlike us mere mortals And he has the extra advantage of getting the "psychic connection" to the object as well to prove his items are real Kevin in Deva
    22. Maybe the source of production can be identified from the maker marks? Kevin in Deva.
