Don't get me wrong guys but the blocks to the extreme right of the picture are the pits, the black windows are the ones that have been burnt buy what I will call "undesirables" or to remain "Politically Correct" an ethnic "minority". Not an area of the town I would feel comfortable in, particularly at night!! and not because I fear Vampires. Kevin in Deva.

Dedication to the Front of the monument in Hungarian: Can anybody offer a translation please?? The back of the monument, the rear tablet is blank; EDIT: I have since learned, from an old Gentlemen that there used to be a representation of the Hungarian Eagle, with outstretched wings on the top of the monument, he claims it was there for over 40 years before it was "removed"! He is searching for some old documentation he had in connection with the monument and I will add the information as I get it. Kevin in Deva.

Hallo Unna with the Bear Motif in the center I would say it has a BERLIN connection. Not sure if there is any connection but a Google search brings up: IAV GmbH, Ingenieurgesellschaft, Auto und Verkehr, Carnotstrasse 1, 10587 BERLIN, GERMANY. Phone: +49 30 39978-0, Fax: +49 30 39978-9790, E-mail: contact@iav.de Which seems to have some connection to Auto Engineering The Crown on the top reminds me of an Italian Design. Kevin in Deva. -

Hallo Gents BRENNER is German I believe for BURNER! I feel tynesideirish is correct about this piece being a lamp, possibly a parraffin lamp as petrol would be a very risky fuel due to the vapors. Kevin in Deva.

Hallo Gents one of the members of my local Hobby Club showed me this piece and I managed to get pictures. so as to look for information with what and when it was given, first off let me comment on the silver football I thought at first glance it had been added on (?) as the nut and bolt to the rear look totally out of place. The other objects depicted are crossed Kalashnikov's and a sword standing upright (handle and cross guard hidden behind the ball. Its about 3cm X 3cm in size. Opinions from the more knowledgeable welcome please. Kevin in Deva.

Hallo Graham. thats why I posted it here, as we share a wealth of knowledge amongst our members, instead of jumping to the conclusion they are totally wrong, unless its known before hand. Still as the person in question rates as a R.S.M. then it should be recorded somewhere. As would the the incident with regards lopping off of a unruly Allied pilot's hand Kevin in Deva.

Hallo Gents, recently on-line I came across this post: I emailed the poster for more info, particularly the RSM name, and he replied with the following: Pure Fantasy or any kernel of truth, I have never heard about this before, and you will also notice he also managed to avoid giving a name in his reply Kevin in Deva.
