    4. The only addresses I have come across in reverse, are those of the ex-Communist Bloc countries, its a style that still exists in Romania, First the county, town, street, Block, floor, apartment, and then family name. Kevin in Deva.

Photos: Leif Ernst. The Lance Corporals with The Defence' Medal of Bravery for brave and heroic actions. Close up of award. Congratulations to the recipients of this nice looking award. 7. It helps if you post a picture or give at least a description of the item you are trying to identify. Kevin in Deva.
    8. Probably the unit is:- Royal Dublin Fusilier's. Kevin in Deva.
    9. Hallo Greg, in my opinion, and I stand open to correction they are an unofficial "Bling-Bling" item, probably for sale to Hungarian U.N. Vets with the surplus being offered to the medal collecting fraternity via the net. Kevin in Deva.
    10. Hallo Chris71, Welcome to the forum Please feel free to show picture of the rear! My gut instinct is to scream "Fantasy Rubbish", not a repro, but I stand open to correction. The ribbon I imagine is a II Reich Iron Cross Repro one, looking at the very rough weave. Kevin in Deva.
    11. Part of 3rd Hussars K.G.L. in the Peninsular War Medal Roll 1793-1814. Found on the net a while ago. Apparently the clasps mentioned are:- Sahagun & Benevente (battles in 1808 on the Retreat to Corunna). Kevin in Deva.

    14. Hallo Gents <img src="http://gmic.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/beer.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="beer.gif" /> a heads up with regards these spotted online, the seller: eseller77586 has truthfully described them as REPROs but I thought it as well to post them as examples of such items out there. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2009/post-950-1235918640.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2009/post-950-1235918652.jpg http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2009/post-950-1235918687.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_03_2009/post-950-1235919091.jpg Kevin in Deva. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/beer.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="beer.gif" />
    15. Nice looking item, Possibly a Hungarian U.N. Veterans Commemorative Medal I doubt its of official U.N. Issue. Kevin in Deva.
    16. How good would the "Expertise" with ink stamped "Die Orden-Sammlung" and a scribbled signature be as a legal reference does it have the Dealers Full Name, Address, phone number etc..etc.. on the rear? In case of a legal case with regards the authenticity of the object. Kevin in Deva. :D
    17. Worn to the rear,? that way they can never be accused of turning their backs on the enemy!!
    18. Sorry Alex K its an obvious fake as it should be:- 1. Prussian Iron Cross 1914 II Class, with Combatant Ribbon, 2. Hindenburg Combatant Cross with swords. 3. Prussian Iron Cross 1914 II Class, non-combatant ribbon 4. Hindenburg Non-Combatant Cross without swords. 5. Prussian Iron Cross 1914, II Class with Combatant Ribbon 6. Hindenburg Widows Cross without swords. The owner would have been in the line or up the line, after being wounded in combat he worked as a non-combatant stretcher bearer, again being wounded, after being treated for wounds he was sent home after receiving news that his son had been killed in combat. For his dedication to duty the Kaiser ordered an extra EK II Class on a non-combatant ribbon for him Kevin in Deva
    19. The swords on the cross are very BM.V.O. Dienst-Kreuz looking to my eyes. Kevin in Deva.
    20. The title in German is, I believe as follows:- Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen Kreuz, 2. Stufe f?r 25 Jahre. Its basically a reward for good attendance and performance at your civil job, time out / years serving the German military counted towards it as well. It came in 3 grades, 50 years Cross with oak-leaves, seldom if ever actually awarded. 40 years, 1 st Class in Gold Gilt. 25 years, 2 nd Class in Silver Gilt. Kevin in Deva.
    21. Hallo fackerman64 Most "Patriotika" items like your medal was sold to civilians to raise money for the war, these items are not to be confused with unofficial Regiment Medals and the Official Commemorative medals such as Maneuver medals etc.. etc.. Items such as this never would have been seen on a serving soldiers uniform. "Patriotika" items came in hundreds of types from broaches, badges, pins etc..etc.. The quality depended upon the firm making the item. Kevin in Deva.
