Ok, found this in a real old book, I am not sure what the tear drop shaped thing by the nose is?

But that would account for what appears to be the window by the nose, it's hard to tell if the holes we se are windows or removed/damaged panels. Also though I read that models of the Halifax had nose turrets I can't seem to find a decent photo, This one does show what appears to be a nose turret, but the angle of the shot doesn't help any. If someone here has some front on photo's of a Halifax with turret could you post them please?

I thought about that, my concern was that the nose on the Halifax seems to taper more than the one in the photo. Although in the photo, it looks like about 6-8" diff in hight from R to L
