Ed_Haynes Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 No, a Mongolian red banner. Perhaps the reason why the price was shooting up Which Red Banner? I don't "do" eBay.
Bob Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Combat Red Banner - forgot to write down the number and the auction's ended
Ed_Haynes Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Thanks. Good to know. But there is such haphazard swapping of screwplates back-and-forth (I have watched this being done ) that we may no longer be able to disentangle any meaning to these exotic screwplates.Clearly SOMETHING is going on, but as with so many "Things Mongolian" . . . . What Is It???
Bob Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Found another one like this in my collection. I have the impression all these screwplates have in common that there's a "solder" like blob around the center... almost as if the screw plate needed to be rethreaded for the polar star and adding this extra metal on top enabled it?
KarlHeintz Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 Topic is long dead, but I also found such screwplate on my T3 Polar Star no 2705. Also with part of Soviet Medal for Combat Merit (parts of Russian letters: "ЫЕ" clearly visible).
fjcp Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 Topic was more In a deep sleep than dead!! Thanks for for posting this and congrats on having one.. These are still a rare thing to find, believe me I've been looking. Jan
Pravda Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 I also am also lucky to have one of these screwplates, but it came with a Type 1 Order of Combat Valor, #539. Unfortunately, it is in a safe deposit box right now so I can’t share an image. It is most likely a swapped screwplate. cheers, Will
