Guest Rick Research
Not the same quality, but then much MUCH rarer to enlisted men than commanders--here is Oberj?ger Gude, Hausknecht, or Meermann of J?ger Bn 5:Almost as obscure-- apparently dead before 1900, is this 1895-97 shot of a Bavarian artillery or pioneers officer identified only as "Major Hederer"back in the days when 25 years service Orders were NOT automatic!! Guest Rick Research
Here is Theodor von Paczensky und Tenczin (1851-1932) in "disguise" as Oberst commanding Mecklenburg Fusileer Regiment 90. Looks terrible for not even 50! Retreaded out for WW1 and finally retired as a Generalleutnant:Notice how the EK2 is snugged down...

Glenn J
Rick,Almost as obscure-- apparently dead before 1900, is this 1895-97 shot of a Bavarian artillery or pioneers officer identified only as "Major Hederer"That would be Major a.D. Oscar Hederer formerly a battery commander in 2. Feldartillerie-Regiment Horn. He won the EK2 for the sortie before Paris on the 29th of November 1870 as the battery commander of 3. Schwere Batterie of 2. Artillerie-Regiment Brodesser. Major Hederer, born in Landau died on the 23rd of October 1897. Note the "a.D."
