Whoever kept this medal in that pristine shape should be thanked, that is unbelievable how the gilt has stayed put so perfectly. Martin W Posted February 16, 2007 Share Posted February 16, 2007 Jody,I think that the Schwerin Auxiliary Cruiser badge is probably the finest of all the Kriegsmarine badges produced and you certainly have a stunning example.I have one in zinc and although the guilding has faded the detail is superb.Hard to tell from the scan but is your badge slightly vaulted?Regards,Martin.
