JBeltram
Hello folks,Here is my Ground Assault badge by M.u.K.5. This badge was captured by a relative of mine. This is one of my favorite badges (for obvious reasons). It makes a great companion piece to my para badge.I would love to see other ground assaults, so please post them on this thread.Regards, Jody Edited February 14, 2007 by JBeltram
Paul R
That is a very nice one! I love the fact that it has kept much of it's original finish!Has there been a story passed down with it? Please tell!

J Temple-West
Did this particular badge belong to the NCO in the photograph?Unfortunately no, Paul. Juncker. This is only the second example I?ve seen with the ?Schwerin? type pin.

J Temple-West
The next two, commonly referred to as ?Maker unknown?, are both in zinc (as are all LGAB?s) but come with different finishes. The first is nickel plated; the second is finished with a later war, frosting. As far as a possible maker for these badges is concerned?Having seen more than one these badges in original paper bags, I think it quite safe to say that the maker is ?Arno Wallpach, Metallwarenfabrik Salzburg?.Obverse of the early nickel plated type. buellmeister
Gentlemen, Here is my one remaining Ground Combat Badge for comparison. It is what I am to believe an unmarked Junker. Unfortunately, the piggy-backed Eagle is missing and the clasp look's repaced. All in all, I love it so.Regards,Joel
