It could be the reserve regiment (I assume one existed) or the 1.Pionier Bn., or 1.J?ger Bn., or 1.Train Bn., etc. Pretty hard to narrow down with no cuffs to look at.Chip Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Perhaps the map only represents line units and Trostberg could relate to some reserve type unit. I have no info on where non-line units would be located. Bayerisches Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 1 was raised in Munich, with its III.Bataillon in Rosenheim. Trostberg is 44 kilometers northeast of Rosenheim and about 90 km east of Munich. The 1.
