Takc Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 sorry for bad pictures... I told you they are bad.the helmet is probably from 20-30-ies or from 40-60-ies era, made of fiber. My father remembers these helmets at the subway construction workers, who dug the tunnels
kimj Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 The pics are not that bad Takc. Better a bad one than none at all.. And the helmet looks very nice! Here is a coal miner wearing a similar helmet, if not the same model. Not the Best pic as it was photographed from the book... Said to be from 1939./Kim

I have seen one for a 2nd class on german ebay a while ago, but wasn?t at home to bid on it, when the auction run out. Did you ask Alexei for a 1st+2nd class doc?best,Gerd
Takc Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 Very nice Takc!Stoo, If I were you, I'd better had this for my son, not that weak bright toy helmet And then my son could happily work in mines with a really protective helmet like this.Because if he works in a mine with that greeny softy helmet, how can he be sure that his head is protected?I also thought about using of a steel helmet in this purpose, but it has no lamp holding device. It is unconvenient to work in a mine without the lamp, agree?
