Yes, They are illustrated as fantasy items in on of my reference books. However they have been around so long that they have become collectable in their own right even thought they are known not to have existed in the DDR time.

Managed to get a class 1 driver clasp to complete the set .

That is a GST Qualifications badge for trainers/instructors , 2nd class in silver (Qualifizierungsabzeichen für Ausbilder /Instrukteure

Silber Stufe 2 )

Issued in three classes, Gold Stufe 1, Silver Stufe 2 and bronze Stufe 3 with miniatures by the Seesportverband der DDR (SSV)

A very large gem involving 2 of my interests the Rechsbahn and the kampfgruppen :

A silver medal for competition at the 5. Spartakiade der kampfgruppen - RBD - Dresden 1965

On the back it reads : Fur Frieden und Socialismus and has sieger in the middle .

Pictured next to a stasi anniversary shield so you get an idea of the size !
