Ed_Haynes Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Interesting question. How does one evaluate specimens of a unique piece that is seen all the time?
Laurence Strong Posted March 24, 2007 Author Posted March 24, 2007 Hi GuysThanks for the info. When were these "Austrian copy's" made approx?
Stogieman Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 This piece has been continuosly copied since 1914....... There was only one made.
Wild Card Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Interesting question. How does one evaluate specimens of a unique piece that is seen all the time? Indeed.I would suggest two criteria. First would be the accuracy to detail and then would come the quality of workmanship. As you know, this is a seemingly endless situation with regard to the more common Pour le Merite.
VtwinVince Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I believe there is a Bluecherstern currently up for grabs on Weitze's site.....
