Hi all, can anyone one tell me something about this award? I've heard that this was Lippes highest bravery decoration, true or not? I think its a very attractive medal.

    Thanks as always!!!

    Hi Greg,

what do you want to know about this nice pinback-cross?

Here you can find some information: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=7563

Indeed, it was high bravery decoration...the heroic deed had to be described very well and the soldier had to risk his own life.

It?s a bit more difficult, but for the time of the WW1, you may say it was the highest bravery award Lippe spent.

    Greetings

    Hi

A new add. An interresting picture of an officer with cross for Heroic Deed. Solomon told me about the buttonhol. There is no iron cross ribbon, only the Lippe cross of merit. Interresting photo.

Very interesting picture above. There are 3 sets of loops for pin back medal, but he is only wearing the EK and Lippe cross. Also of interest is that he is NOT wearing, nor are there loops for, a ribbon bar.
