Paul R Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Wow Joe, you really got a nice score on that group! Plus they are still sewn together...can't beat that! Gary BI agree!
Paul R Posted March 12, 2008 Author Posted March 12, 2008 A single Judicial Sonderfuhrer, High Career Grade. This is the only Judicial Sonderfuhrer I have ever seen.
Paul R Posted June 22, 2008 Author Posted June 22, 2008 Here are some wonderful photos from the collection of Robert Noss!! The lower one seems to be from the High Grade Career Level, while the others seem to be from the Elevated Career Level!
Paul R Posted June 22, 2008 Author Posted June 22, 2008 A nice awards presentation photo. Notice the officer grade and the medium NCO level member!! A very interesting photo from Robert Noss!
Paul R Posted June 22, 2008 Author Posted June 22, 2008 Some more great photos from Robert Noss... These two are very early!
Laurence Strong Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 (edited) Actually those are a pair of unauthorised cord for an Administrative Official not a SonderfuhrerThese would be for a Sonderfuhrer, though this set is for a Hauptmann equivalent, Sonderfuhrer cords did not have a backing. Gary B Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Thanks for the clarification, Larry. I always get confused on the Admin and Wartime official stuff.....I also posted these in the Admin section so I was 1/2 right! Gary B
Paul R Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 I have never seen these in period photos for an Admin official. However, I have seen piped shoulderboards(unauthorized) used by Sonderfuhrer. I suppose those could go either way, but I think that they are for a sonderfuhrer, as they were the only ones to use the golden sliders.
Paul R Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 Anything is possible, but I believe that you were right with placing them into the Sonderfuhrer thread. Again, awesome boards!
Laurence Strong Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Hi Paul and GaryGo to Vol 1 page 569 where Sonderfuhrer's insignia are mention and you will find their shoulder cords mentioned, and then go to Vol 2 page 46 where Administrative officials insignia in relation to Schulterschnure are. Though very similar you will see that those are Admin cords along with photo's of them in wear.Hope this helps some Larry
