Snoopy Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 (edited) HelloI would like to show you some of my medical items, that i have in my collection. I have some more, but these are the only ones, that I have pictures of. I will start with my Luftwaffe verbandkasten. It's complete with all it's equipment. It even has it's original packing label from "Luftgau-Sanit?tspark IV Dresden", signed by the packer. The inside of the lid, and the packing label, is stamped with an Luftwaffe eagle. The outside is in original, but used condition.Snoopy Edited April 19, 2007 by Snoopy

Bob Lyons Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 WOW!!! That's a GREAT set you have!!! DocYep, I agree with Doc, great stuff, looking forward to seeing some of the great looking tunics you have too!Bob
Snoopy Posted April 20, 2007 Author Posted April 20, 2007 (edited) HelloThanks. I have posted a few tunics in the Lw uniform section. Sadly, I have no tunics from the medical branch. It's one of my not so secret dreams, to get a Lw medic's tunic. The closest I get is a single shoulderstrap from the army, shown below. I tried the scanner on this one. The colour, though difficult to see, is actually blue.Snoopy Edited April 20, 2007 by Snoopy
Paul R Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 There is nothing small about this collection!!! I love it! What was contained in the wooden box that was brought back by your family member?
Snoopy Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 There is nothing small about this collection!!! I love it! What was contained in the wooden box that was brought back by your family member?Well, I have to admit that I don't know a lot about the contents of this box, except something my father told me. He was in the norwegian army in the nineteen fiftie's. He told me that he could remember these wooden boxes, and that it contained pills, and he seemed to remember that they where black. If they suffered from stomachpains, headache or whatever, they would get one of these pills.Snoopy
Snoopy Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 More medical stuff from my collection. The first one is a DRK manual about first aid.
Snoopy Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 First aid pouches, and identitycard for a medic. The identitycard is denazified, but it's the only one I have.
Snoopy Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 Small metal box with tubes of ointment, and a pouch for scissors and tweezers.
Snoopy Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 The following items, is not a medic's equipment, but I would like to show it anyway. It's for a dentist's instruments. It cost me the princely sum, of just over 3 $, at an antiques fair.
Snoopy Posted April 23, 2007 Author Posted April 23, 2007 Not medical equipment, but I decided to show it anyway. It's a foodparcel from the American red cross. It was sent to a prisoner of war camp, that the germans had in Norway.
