Guest Rick Research Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 In a rather nice titled red plastic case that hinges open without a catch, top being held snug by the fitted white flocked lining. Typically, although form fitted to the badge, the recess in the lining was not made to the correct specifications, so the only way it will sit flush is to remove the screw disk! I can't show the inside because it only opens to a 90? angle. From the general lack of quality, I assume this is an Final Days piece:To have fit properly in the case, the screw post would have had to have been positioned where the star's rivet is. Somebody changed designs without telling somebody else!!!

Guest Rick Research Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Yes, that's this badge alright! Having had the opportunity to examine 2 now, mine doesn't fit in the case because each one appears to be hand-made. The screw post on the other badge is about where the top rivet is on mine, which makes a perfect fit in the red plastic case. What is more interesting--mine has the Roman--NOT Cyrillic !!!-- alphabet letters "P. V." on the screw-disk. I had just assumed that it was aan incorrect replacement... but the OTHER badge also has the same maker mark--- ???
bolgarin Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I think on his uniform is this soviet badge. Honor worker of Interior ministry......
Stogieman Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Hi Petr, correct he is wearing both a Soviet and Bulgarian Honored Worker Badge. I was not aware that the Soviet "eggs" were handed out to foreigners as well... Very interesting photographs Christer!Rick R. Note the general's ribbon bar!
