CRBeery Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Can someone tell me what branch this would be from? I think it is Heer but going through the only references I have I can not figure it out.
Naxos Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 (edited) It's Heer (I asume that the base color of the litze is forest green - can not quite tell from the picture)I like the fact that part of the collar itself is still with it - nice pieceRegards, Hardy Edited July 9, 2007 by Naxos
Guest Rick Research Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Is the piping in the silver Litzen gold wire and not a Waffenfarbe color? Were it NOT on a dark green patch, I'd think that would make it a M1915 Garde officer tab.
CRBeery Posted July 9, 2007 Author Posted July 9, 2007 The base material is a dark green. The interior color looks to be a dark olive/green color which I found one reference to "officials" but I have no idea what that means. Do you think there is another patch under this one as in a field promotion?
Paul R Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 It looks like a worn and dirty infantry Officer's Litzen, WW2.
Naxos Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 It looks like a worn and dirty infantry Officer's Litzen, WW2.I agree with Paul, it is an "Infanterie Offizier Kragenspiegel". It is textbook perfect. In fact if you want sell it, I would be very interested.Regards, Hardy
