EK 1914 EK2 maker marks help

Hi

does anyone know the maker of this cross. the large ring is marked as shown and the small ring has a perfect square with a raised dot in the middle.

any ideas?

It looks like "R" which would be for Alfred R?sner. I can not be 100% positive on this as I have never actually seen an R marked cross before. Mica might have an example to compare against.

Well,the marking at the ring is an "R"-but please show the whole cross,some makers have used different cores and frames(or have bought from other companies).But anyway-here are some "R" 2nd class...the additional marking at the small ring is typical for this maker!

the eye stamp of a square with a dot in it

is one that i have seen and have, but am unable to

attribute to a particular maker.

i'll check my lists and see if it is associated with

a ring marked "R".
