Snoopy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 What a wonderful collection , and a very informative thread. I have only two ww I EK II's in my collection, one on a medal bar, and one single, but I must say that I love them. The design of the imperial iron crosses, are beautiful. All the bestSnoopy

frontkampfer Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 Hello Andreas ! Well, for beginners three rules to respect :- magnetic cross (for iron core)- build in three parts- and a code with letters or numbers, a manufacture mark in fact, in suspension ringIt's a little more difficult in reality but if you start a collection you need to follow these rules and you'll be protected against fakes !! Have a nice day,All the best,Fkr

Have a nice day,All the best,Fkr Yes, but some good ones are non magnetic, are sometimes 1 piece and not all are marked on the ring. Many are unmarked. Fortunatley, 1914 EK2s are a fairly safe area to collect that has not been heavily hit with fakes.
Alfred Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Thanks Fkr and Steve , for your help !regardsAndreas
