Alex K Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Hi can't tell from the photo, what the MM is. Advise you may find on the forum is don't clean the crud (often called age patina)off, it tends to add to the character of the piece. At best give it a dusting with a soft brush to remove any loose dirt, and keep it in a dry environment to prevent any rusting of the inner core. Looks to me like a nice original pieceregardsAlex
buellmeister Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Agreed! I would leave it alone as well. The patina and character add to the fact that (presumably) this was a field worn piece which I admire as highly as my mint Crosses. Regards,Joel
Dave B Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Looks to be a nice original piece and I concur with the above about cleaning it.Congrats on your first EK by the way!Dave
VonBierStein Posted October 28, 2007 Author Posted October 28, 2007 Thanks. I will just give it a good dusting with a soft brush. I can see how this could be addictive.
