I'm thinking to buy this clasp and would like to get some opinions.

The current price for this beauty is 400 ?.

Is it too much or not ?

I'm having a hard time deciding if this is a bronze or gold example. Which is it? Photos can be tricky. From these photos, I like the clasp. 400 ? would be a good price for an example in gold. Probably at the high end for bronze.

The owner is a serious guy. I already bought some uniforms from him.

He's selling it as a bomber clasp in gold.

recalling from a TR interest which dwindled

several years ago, i am nevertheless impressed

with this piece. my observation is that it is gold,

and a piece that could hardly be improved upon.

under circumstances like this with pieces in this

condition, i have rarely been bitten by spending

close to what is asked. a fine original piece rarely

looses its' value, and provides a certain satisfaction

which is hard to put a price on.

You are unlikely to find a gold clasp in that condition for less than what you stated, so if you really want one, this is a good chance!
