Details are not good, and the color is strange. Not to my liking.

These are normally fantastically gilded over bronze.

From the single pic provided so far, I also do not like what I see. This one looks very shiny - too shiny. It looks more ?gold plated that gilt finished. It does not have the colour/effect of tombak or fire-gilt. Even the early 57ers were still fire-gilded. Withough examining it, I'm thinking a good electro-plated casting.

I have to agree with Mike.

The image may be very poor and misleading, but it doesn't look good from here.

Hi gentlemen, had a closer look at this, I assume the genuine article this was produced as a die stamping, looking at the edges, it appears to be in two halves with a seam similar to an EK1, silvery base metal, I concur therefore that it unfortunately a lemon,

perhaps you could confirm, before I consign it to the land of trash

Hi David, I'll try to do that for future reference. I will not of course consign it to the trash can but put it with the other unfortunates I have collected over the years
