See http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2418...mp;#entry229323 for those.Research is pending on just about all of these. However, with the delays that seem to be plaguing research these days, I don't expect to see results for months.
RedMaestro
And finally, my collection of fifes and piccolos (well, piccolo at the moment). As a Revolutionary and Civil War reenactor and fifer, I think it was only natural I started collecting these. The ones I have were made by Crosby (Civil War period), and George Cloos, Crosby's apprentice who later started his own business in about the 1880's. The piccolo is marked "Nach H. F. Mayer," a flute maker of German origin. I am currently looking into purchasing German fifes made during WWI. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get one yet (close but no cigar), but I'll find one soon.Once again, help appareciated with some of the German stuff. Thanks and enjoy!Alex
