Very nice postcard. Out of interest, what's was the number of Balthasar's Kills over how many combat flights? It would be interesting to work out his ratio.

Thank you sir! His total kills were 47 victories over about 300 combat missions, 7 of those being from the Legion Kondor. He never got to see the high killing fields of the Ost Front. All the best, Jon

Jon, that's a crop of a famous series of stills showing Luetzow, Balthasar and Egon Troha. My uncle stood in for Balthasar and led III. Gruppe during September 1940, when Balthasar was wounded. Troha took over the 9. Staffel from my uncle on October 1, 1940.
