pinpon590
Hello !Knight cross of the Legion of HonorThe date "1870" means that it's a 3rd Republic model, awarded in 1871 until 1940.The cross is in silver (there's a hallmark on the back side of the reef knot) Edited March 10, 2008 by pinpon590

Bison
Hi StephanNo, yours is coming from "Arthus Bertrand", like the coffin is marked. It is not a current one. The most current are from "La Monnaie de Paris".But from 1870 to 1946, there are several thousand L?gion d'honneur which have been awarded, therefore this model is not very rare.Hello Christophe ! Nice to meet you here !RegardsBison
